Ba$k%r&un!' Based on data from Human Development Report 2010, shows the infant mortality

rate for 31/1.000 Indonesia lives irths, althou!h this fi!ure is still hi!h in "sia. #aternal

mortality rate in $arawan! %ountry for the year 2011 a&&ordin! re!ent deputy of $arawan! as

'( &ase live irths, while infant mortality rate of 1)0 infant live irths. In *est +ava maternal

mortality rate for his moment is 321 &ase live irths, while infant mortality rate is '') &ase.

 ational infant mortality rate in 2010 is 3-/1.000 live irths.

M(t)&!' his study is an eperimental study that resear&her &ondu&t treatment interventions,

treatment !roup I the !roup that performed treatment usin! umili&al &ord with reast mil and

treatment !roup II treatment !roup performed the umili&al &ord with a dry !aue. 4amplin!

was done y purposive samplin! te&hni5ue with a numer of sample 30 infants. 4tatisti&al tests

are usin! the Independent 6test.
