DESCRIPTION

This book is a humble effort to present our favorite quotes/ Ayyas from Quran. The aspiration is to share some of those words from Quran that have had a profound, positive influence upon us and have helped guide our personal and professional lives. We want all the readers, from across the spectrum, to experience the light, hope, guidance and spiritual fulfillment that Allah's words have brought into our lives.

TRANSCRIPT

  • This book was compiled and Ayyas (Verses) were written in Arabic by hand, in "Naskh" script, also known as "Khadim-ul-Quran "by Mr. Yousuf Khan. Mr. Khan is member of Pakistan Administrative Services and is my batch mate from 16th CTP. He is currently Secretary to the Government of Punjab.

Verses from Quran are reproduced in the original text of the Quran, in Arabic. In order to reach wide array of audience, the verses have been translated into English, Urdu and Sindhi. The translation does not in any way provide any explanation or opinion. The reader is left to make an effort to understand on his/ her own way, form independent opinion and seek further guidance from the Quran in entirety. Moreover, this book is in no way connected to any religious sect or political initiative.

I have made an effort to translate in English seeking guidance from various translations available in the market. However, major inspiration is sought from English Translation made by "Saheeh International, UK."

    FORWARD

    1

  • Mr. Manzoor Hussain has written the Sindhi Translation. Mr. Manzoor is an officer of the State Bank of Pakistan . His insatiable devour for knowledge made him wade through waters of capitalism, socialism, comparative religions , Islam, history of Subcontinent , Sindhi literature, Sufism (an avid reader of Shah Abdul Latif Bhittai, Shams Tabraiz and Molana Romi - his great inspirations) and Quran and Hadees . Mr. Manzoor's love for Quran and his insight and understanding of the word of Allah is stupendous . His translation in Sindhi is testimony to this fact . I acknowledge his inspiration which made me read and love Quran to comprehend the message.

Mr. Muhammad Waseem did Urdu translation. He is highly acclaimed as scholar of Arabic and Quran.

I am a Graduate in Medicine and Surgery, joined Pakistan Civil Services with 16th CTP. I have served with the Government of Pakistan in various capacities including in Foreign Service of Pakistan and Inland Revenue Service. I resigned from service in 2007. Currently, I am doing Tax Law practice in all tax disciplines.

  • O mankind, remember the

    favors of Allah upon you.

    3

    35 : 3

  • For each one has a direction towards which he turns. But whenever you

be, hasten to (all that is good).

    2 : 148

    4

  • Unquestionable, by the remembrance of Allah hearts are assured (find comfort).

    13 : 28

    5

  • Indeed, those who have divided theirreligion and become sects - you

( O Muhammad), are not (associated) with them in anything.

    6 : 159

    6

  • 16 : 23

Surely He does not like the arrogant.

    7

  • 25 : 67

And (they are) those who, when theyspend, do so not excessively or

sparingly but are ever, between that,(justly) moderate.

    8

  • Indeed, good deeds do away with misdeeds

    11 : 114

    9

  • For women is a share of what the parents and close relatives

leave, be it little or much - an obligatory share

    4 : 7

    10

  • 35 : 18

And no bearer of burdens (Soul) will bear the burden

    of another (Soul)

    11

  • 13 : 11

Indeed, Allah will not change the condition of a people until they change what is in themselves

    (inner selves)

    12

  • 3 : 134

(Pious are those) who restrain anger and who pardon the people

    (with kindness).

    13

  • 2 : 282

When you contract a debt for a specified term, write it down.

    14

  • 94 : 6

Indeed, with hardship (will be)ease (i.e, relief)

    15

  • 12 : 49

Do not spy or backbite each other.

    16

  • 6 : 141

Indeed He does not like those whocommit excess (in eating, as well as

    in all things generally)

    17

  • 53 : 32

Do not claim yourselves to be pure. He is most knowing

    of who fears Him.

    18

  • 6 : 165

(He) raised some of you above others in degree(of rank) that He may try you

through what He has given you.

    19

  • 16 : 125

Invite to the way of your Lord with wisdom and good instruction, and

argue with them in a way that is best

    20

  • 5 : 8

And do not let the hatred of a people prevent you from

    being just.

    21

  • 2 : 188

And do not consume one an others wealth unjustly or send it ( in bribery) to the rulers

in order that (they might aid) you (to) consume a portion of the wealth of the

people in Sin, while you know (it is unlawful)

    22

  • 2 : 42

And do not mix the truth with falsehood or conceal the truth while

    you know (it)

    23

  • 31 : 18

And do not turn your cheek (Face in Contempt) towards people

and do not walk through the earth exultantly.

    24

  • 44 : 9

But they are in doubt, amusing themselves

    25

  • 11 : 61

Indeed my Lord is near and responsive

    26

  • 69 : 19

But prostrate (before Him) and draw near ( to Allah).

    27

  • 61 : 2-3

(Believers) why do you say what doyou not do? Greatly hateful in the Sight of Allah is that you say what

    you do not do.

    28

  • 2 : 186

I respond to the invocation of the supplicant when he

    calls upon you

    29

  • 42 : 40

Whoever pardons and makes reconciliation - his reward is

    (due) from Allah

    30

  • 14 : 19

( O believers) live with your wives in kindness

    31

  • 2 : 186

And when My servants ask you (O Muhammad). Concerning Me -

    Indeed I am near.

    32

  • 14 : 34

And if you should count the favors(i.e blessing) of Allah, you could not

    count them.

    33

  • 9 : 119

Be with those who are true.

    34

  • 2 : 269

He gives wisdom to whom He wills, and whoever has been given wisdom has certainly been given more good

And none will remember except those of understanding

    35

  • 31 : 17

Be patient over what (misfortune) befalls you.

Indeed (all) that is of the matters(requiring) resolve (courage)

    and boastful.

    45

  • 17 : 53

And tell My servants to speak that which is best (kindly manner)

    46

  • 23 : 115

Then did you think that We createdyou uselessly and that to us you

    would not be returned?

    47

  • 4 : 135

Be persistently standing firm in justice.

    48

  • 57 : 4

And who ever is protected from the stinginess (greed)of his soul - it is

    those who will be successful.

    50

  • 2 : 256

There shall be no compulsion in matters of religion.

    51
