1. Manfaat Mata Kuliah
Mahasiswa teknik kimia dapat menjelaskan prinsip kerja dan dasar-dasar perhitungan
alat-alat dalam unit operasi.
2. Deskripsi Perkuliahan
Mata kuliah Proses Industri Kimia membahas tentang berbagai satuan operasi teknik
kimia yang meliputi penentuan kondisi operasi untuk mencapai spesifikasi produk
yang diinginkan, dan pemilihan alat yang paling sesuai. Materi kuliah meliputi :
Transportasi fluida cair, Pengadukan dan Pencampuran, Filtrasi, Sedimentasi
termasuk flokulasi, koagulasi dan elektrokoagulasi, adsorpsi dan fluidisasi.
3. Tujuan Mata Kuliah (Kompetensi Baku)
Pada akhir perkuliahan ini diharapkan mahasiswa mampu :
� Menjelaskan prinsip kerja alat-alat yang terlibat dalam unit operasi
� Menjelaskan cara pendekatan dan penyelesaian masalah operasi teknik kimia
dengan teori penguasaan fundamental prinsip kerja dan dasar-dasar perhitungan
alat-alat dalam unit operasi

Berdasarkan kompetensi baku yang telah dirumuskan, disusun materi kuliah yang
urutannya dijabarkan dalam skema berikut ini :

5. Strategi Perkuliahan
Metode perkuliahan ini adalah pengajaran, diskusi dan tugas perorangan. Dosen
menjelaskan materi perkuliahan, setelah itu memberikan tugas secara perorangan
kepada mahasiswa.

� Sebelum mengikuti perkuliahan, mahasiswa harus membaca materi kuliah
� Mahasiswa menyelesaikan semua tugas-tugas yang diberikan dan mengumpulkan
kepada dosen pada waktu yang ditentukan
� Evaluasi dilaksanakan pada minggu IV (quiz), pertengahan semester (midtest) dan
akhir semester (UAS)

Penilaian dilakukan oleh dosen dengan menggunakan criteria sebagai berikut :

Dalam menentukan nilai akhir akan digunakan persentasi pembobotan sebagai berikut
: Nilai msing-masing dosen berbobot 50%, sehingga nilai akhir mahasiswa dihitung
sebagai berikut :
NA = 0,5 (Nil;ai Dosen I) + 0,5 (Nil;ai Dosen II)
� Penilaian dosen I meliputi :
a. Tugas terstruktur 15 %
b. Quiz 40 %
c. Midtest 45 %
� Penilaian dosen II meliputi :
a. Tugas terstruktur 15 %
b. Quiz 40 %
c. UAS 45 %
Catatan : Kehadiran minimal 80% dari total perkuliahan satu semester toleransi
keterlambatan masuk kuliah 15 menit.
