PERUBAHAN WUJUD ZAT

• Melebur Suatu zat padat apabila diberi kalor, mula-mula suhunyanaik dan akan melebur

• Besarnya kalor untuk mengubah 1 mol zat padat dinamakan kalorlebur (ΔHfus)

• Setelah melebur maka suhu naik kembali sampai titik didih (Tb). Padakondisi ini suhu tetap karena mengalami penguapan.

• Jumlah kalor yang dipakai untuk menguapkan 1 mol zat disebut kalorpenguapan (ΔHvap)

• Sebuah ban mobil bertekanan 2,1 atm pada suhu 18 oC.Setalah perjalanan, suhu ban menjadi 54 oC. Berapakahtekanan gas dalam ban bila volumenya tetap dan ban tidakbocor

• Suatu gas bervolume 1,5 L pada suhu 25 oC dan 1 atm. Berapa volume gas bila tekanan 1 atm dan suhu 100 oC

• Gas bervolume 50 L dan tekanan udaranya 0,85 atmdipindahkan ke ruang bervolume 65 L. Hitunglah tekanan jika

a). Tidak terjadi perubahan suhu

Kristal Zat Padat

• Kristal : zat yang memiliki suatu susunan partikel yang teratur

• Amorf : zat yang memiliki suatu susunan partikel yang tidak beraturan/acak

• Dua zat yang memiliki struktur kristal yang sama disebutisomorfik


Kristalisasi

• Kristalisasi, terbentuknya kristal pada saatpembekuan, terjadi dengan mekanisme:

1. Pembentukan inti atau pengintian (nucleation)

mulai membentuk kristal dengan ukuran sangat kecil

2. Pertumbuhan (growth)

makin banyak atom lain bergabung ke inti yang ada

• Pengintian dimulai dari tempat yang paling dingin, kemudian tumbuh ke arah yang lebih panas

• Pengintian biasanya terjadi di banyak tempat, sehingga jugaterbentuk banyak butiran kristal (polycrystalin)

Space lattice Unit cell

• Kristal: susunan atom yang memperlihat-kanketeraturan posisi dan perulangan susunan (long range order).

• Space lattice: jaringan tiga dimensi dari garis-garis imajiner yang menghubungkan inti-inti atom yang berdekatan dlm kristal

• Unit cell: bagian terkecil dari space lattice yang bila disusun berulang ke arah sumbu-sumbunyaakan menyusun space lattice tsb

• Unit cell ditentukan oleh lattice parameter yaitu 3 buah lattice translation vector dan 3 buah interaxialangle

1. Chromium, used to protect and beautify other metals, crystallizes in aBCC structure in which the Cr atoms are in contact along the bodydiagonal of the unit cell. The edge of the unit cell is 288.4 pm.Calculate the atomic radius of Cr.
