    KONTROL DAN KRITERIA DISAIN

    KENDARAAN DISAIN

    Kontrol kunci dalam disain geometrik jalan adalah karakteristik fisik danproporsi dari berbagai variasi ukuran kendaraan yang menggunakan jalan.

    Dipilih beberapa kelompok kendaraan tertentu yang representatif dari sisidimensi dan karakteristik operasionalnya, digunakan dalam kontrol disainjalan untuk mengakomodasi kelas- klelas atau grup jenis kendaraan yangdidisain akan menggunakan jalan, disebut kendaraan disain.

    Untuk tujuan disain geometrik, tiap kendaraan disain memiliki dimensi fisik danradius berbelok minimum yang lebih besar dari kendaraan lain di kelasnyamasing-masing.

    Untuk jalan bebas hambatan (freeway) biasanya diakomodasi kendaraandisain terbesar.
