SAMUNA COOK STOVE SAVE 80%
• Save minimum 80% of the firewood consumption
• Technical data:– Burning chamber: stainless steel,
automatic air control– Burning dry firewood sticks– Effective thermal power = 1.45 kW– Lifetime minimum 10 years– Overall efficiency > 40% (WBT)– Low emission of smoke and GHGs
The System use only 0.516 kg dry biomass per
day or only 17.8 percent of the sustainable
biomass residue stocks in the project area!
Corporate Social Responsibility Stove ProjectsPT.Samuna International Business is a Indonesian Company and
Developer of CDM Projects in Order to reduce CO2 Emissions based by the Kyoto Protocol and by the Regulations of UNFCCC.
The Priority of PT.Samuna International Business are CDM-CSR Stove Projects in Indonesia and other development Country’s to reduce CO2
Emissions by switching fossil Fuel to renewable Biomass Fuel and / or to reduce Firewood Fuel/Biomass using the Samuna Energy and Firewood
Saving Stove as Cooking Equipment in the Households of the Poor. The Stove is made of Stainless Steel in all Part include Pot and Lid and transportable. He has low emission smoke and is not affected by wind,
using small sticks of Wood or Pellets of dry Biomass from Waste. It needs 250 to 300 gram small Wood Sticks to boil 6-7 liter Water.

Used in AfricaUNHCR Project for Refugees
The Samuna Energy and Firewood Saving Stove is registered as International Patent.
The Stove are produced in Indonesia in high
Quality for longtime using.
Small Sticks of Firewood or Pellets from Char
Coal or Sawn waste able to use.
Air supply is automatically regulated by the
patented aero-thermodynamic design and
construction of the Stove.
The Parts of the Stove are easy to assembling
by man and wife.
The Pot are also from Stainless Steel and the Lid
can be from Stainless Steel or unbreakable
Glass.
The Stove is transportable to cook in the Field,
useful for Refugees and in Disaster Regions or
for Camping.
Water boiling, cooking, frying and deep frying
unaffected from wind and rain on any place is
approved

MONITORING
• Very important part of the project
• Participant will be organized in groups– One group consists of 50 users and leads by a coordintor
• Number of respondents surveyed is 3,000 for every year– Surveyed respondents will be chosen randomly
• The chosen group coordinators (60 persons) will be visited monthly by Chef of Village
• To check and validate the monitoring data, 30 participants will be randomly visited and interviewed

Required Fire Woods
• 10,800 tones dry firewood sticks per year per one scale project
• Study in Delanggu (Supardji, 1983)– Population density 36.5 persons per hectare of yard produce
218 kg firewoods and 182 kg bamboos per household per year → 1,178 m3 yard per household
– 60.5 percent of firewood demand per household (if stove save80 used) + bamboos → 111 percent
– Others: dry land, schools, offices, roads, field, cementery etc

Tropical Waste Wood in IndonesiaLegally cut in the Year 2003 6.5 million m3Legally cut in the Year 2004 5.75million m3Legally cut in the Year 2005 5.45million m3
And will decrease after that to around 2.0 million m3 / YearAltogether Indonesia wasted more than 8.5 million m3 (50-60% of a total of 17.7 million m3) wood within 3 years.
As waste wood is noted the crown (10-15m), the stump (1.5-2m) and the root of the trees. Only the middle part (20-30m) of the trees were cut as log wood.
(Illegal logging is not included in this Estimation)
