I worked for PT Unilever Indonesia for 15 years, mainly in marketing, sales & operation. Continued with working for local business companies for 2 years and currently doing my own as marketing and communication consultant, those allows me to understand various business models more thoroughly. I was responsible to grow the brand and the business competitively, healthy profit and sustainable. Responsible all aspects of the brand and business up to profitability.

I am leading the brand and business by coordinating and work together with various functions, both internal (Consumer/Market Insight, Sales, Finance, Supply Chain, Production, Operation, Research & Development, up to Public Relation departments) and external (agencies, government, FDA, intellectual right) . - Develop and launch innovations/communications to grow the business by meeting the consumer and customer needs. Advertising in various media, activity for traders and utilize press/media to amplify the impacts.

- Plan and execute activation and promotion that provide product experiences and boost the sales, both for consumers as well as customers.

- Understand the logistics and distribution operation, especially in complex environment system like Unilever.

- To seek new opportunities for further development of the business, including digital channels which are now getting more important.

In digital, I develop Royco’s and Bango’s digital assets: website, YouTube channel, Facebook fans page and Twitter. Royco in 2013 managed to get acknowledgment as best Unilever’s South East Asia best digital. Furthermore, planned to equip it with e-commerce as Royco has big pack sizes and many of the customers are SMEs.

- Identify & nurturing brand social mission to give positive impact not only to the business but also to community.

It is always an exciting journey to understand what the business needs, craft the ideas and bring them alive to make business & life impacts. I always a strong believer in team work as “none of us is stronger than all of us”. The whole team should work harmoniously to achieve the goals. Business is about profit, would really ideal to also give something back to community.

My main goal is to keep learning something new, give my best to the surrounding, leaving a good business legacy. In my experience this will require hard work, commitment but also learning, fun and everyone involved will learn something to be better person.

AchievementsTurn around Royco (a ULI’s seasoning brand) business to be market leader, through:

- Build stronger brand proposition to establish Royco is the best seasoning product for consumers and as clear brand differentiator against competitors.

- Launch several innovations to grow the total business and materializing the vision of Royco beyond just functional product but more over as a trusted partner for mothers in cooking, i.e. jelly format bouillons (Royco Kuah Kaldu Gel), meal maker products (Royco Bumbu Komplit), universal seasoning (Royco All-in-One).

- Tap into wholesaler channels to increase product distribution by having special loyalty program for them.

- Develop digital channel (website, m-site, Facebook fan page, Twitter, Youtube) for Royco. It is one of the most advance digital achievements amongst ULI brand’s digitals and well acknowledge by other countries. It manages to build strong engagement beyond just reaching the users only.

Grow Bango from a local soy sauce brand into a clear market leader nationally, through:- Establishing its product superiority over competitors, by clearly communicating its high quality of

“Benar-benar Kecap”, made only from 4 selected ingredients.- Establishing “Festival Jajanan Nusantara” activation as iconic urban culinary festival; where more

than 80 traditional food hawkers are gathered in one place, so consumers/visitors can enjoy the nice experience of enjoying traditional foods with Bango in one place. This is establishing that Bango is not only about soy sauce, but more over is about good foods. It becomes a standard culinary festival for other brands/companies.

- Creating Cooking TV Program of “Bango Cita Rasa Nusantara” that exposing various traditional dishes.

- Both activations have managed to popularize the traditional food eating habit as current common urban lifestyle.

- Won the Marketing Dream Team competition, SWA magazine, 2008.- Festival Jajanan Bango is winner as “most impactful marketing event”, MIX magazine, 2007.- Awarded for Foods Director Award in 2007.- Establishing brand social mission of “preserving Indonesia traditional culinary heritage”.

Establishing sales strategy for Skin Cleansing category of PT ULI, through:- Develop and execute the blue print sales strategy for this category through Trade Category Plan

(TCP) for Lux, Lifebuoy, Dove & Citra brands.- For the first time after several years, grew sales of Lux and Lifebuoy more than 25% for each brand.

Usually both brands will cannibalize each other due to same target segment. It was done through clear different strategy for each brand, where Lux is about beauty while Lifebuoy is about health, in all line of sales (distribution, visibility, sections, etc).
