Bab ini meliput klasifikasi dari kejadian (event) lingkungan dan

keadaan sekitarnya sebagai kausa suatu cedera, keracunan

dan efek yang merugikan, pertentangan atau permusuhan,

ketidakcocokan, atau berlawanan,

Code pada Bab XX diaplikasikan untuk melengkapi code padaBab-bab lain, terutama Bab XIX.

Causes of death ditabulasi berdasakan Bab XIX dan Bab XX,

apabila hanya mengunakan satu code sebab kematian maka

hanya code Bab XX yang digunakan.

Kondisi lain-2 yang bisa disebut timbul karena sebab luarterklasifikasi pada Bab I XVIII
