MODELO “LA CÉLULA”
Los modelos facilitan la investigación de
fenómenos complejos
ocurridos en objetos de tamaños
exagerados (demasiado grandes o
MODELO?
1. Debe guardar correspondencia con el
objeto o fenómeno representado
2. Debe respetar la escala de los objetos
3. Debe expresar de forma clara el nombre
de las partes representadas.
¿QUÉ VAMOS A HACER?
Realizaremos un modelo de
la estructura celular o
maqueta de la célula.
Este proyecto se realizará de
forma individual
Una vez termines la maqueta
debes explicar en un breve
resumen cuáles han sido los
pasos que has seguido para la
elaboración de la maqueta de
tu célula.

DESCRIPTION OF THE OBJECT USE MINERAL (M) OR
ROCK (R)?
Minerals RECURSO 2.2
A MINERAL is a naturally occurring
chemical compound, usually of
crystalline form and not produced by
life processes.
Minerals RECURSO 2.2
Difference between mineral and rocks?
YES! A mineral has one specific chemical composition, whereas a rock can be an
aggregate of different minerals

https://m.youtube.com/watch?t=38s&v=muYjQDuSODY
PHYSICAL PROPERTIES OF MINERALS:
Each mineral has specific characteristics that helps to classify
the different minerals.
HARDNESS (DUREZA)
COLOUR (COLOR)
LUSTER (BRILLO)
STREAK (COLOR DE LA RAYA)
TRANSPARENCY (DIAFANIDAD)
MAGNETISM (MAGNETISMO)
SHAPE (FORMA)
CLEAVAGE (EXFOLIACIÓN)
PROPERTIES OF MINERALS
HARDNESS (DUREZA) : It is the resistance of a mineral
to be scratched.
It is measureb by MOHS SCALE
Minerales Semiduros: 3-6
Minerales Duros: dureza 7 o mayor
MOHS SCALE
COLOUR (COLOR) RECURSO 2.3
Algunos minerales, como el
azufre, se pueden
identificar fácilmente por
el color.
Sin embargo, hay otros que
pueden tener colores
distintos, por ejemplo, el
cuarzo que puede ser rosa,
blanco, canelo…
En otros casos, un mismo
ejemplar de mineral puede
tener más de un color.
LUSTER (BRILLO) RECURSO 2.3
Luster is the way mineral´s surface
reflects light.
(Es el aspecto que tiene la
superficie de un mineral cuando se
refleja la luz sobre él).
Puede ser:
Metálico: cuando se parece al brillo
típico de los metales.
Nacarado: cuando se parece al brillo
del nácar.
Sedoso: cuando se parece al brillo
de la seda.
Vítreo: cuando se parece al del
vidrio.
Graso: cuando se parece al del
aceite.
Céreo: cuando se parece al de la
cera.
Mate: cuando no tiene brillo.
STREAK (COLOR DE LA RAYA)
Streak is the color of mineral´s
powder when scratched on a
special plate.
(Es el color del polvo del mineral
y es una propiedad que se
mantiene constante, por lo que
sirve para la identificación del
mineral).
TRANSPARENCY(DIAFANIDAD)
The amount of light able to be passed
through a mineral determines its
transparency.
Minerals can be:
Transparents: light is able to pass
through and you are able to see the
objects that are behind.
Translucent: partially let light pass
thorugh. You can see objects behind
but they are blurry.
Opaque:do not let any light through.
CLEAVAGE (EXFOLIACIÓN)
Mineral splits easily along flat
surfaces .
(Algunos minerales pueden
partirse con facilidad y tienen
una rotura característica, de
forma regular. Esta manera de
partirse se llama exfoliación).
Por ejemplo, la mica se rompe
fácilmente en láminas finas
(exfoliación laminar); la galena
se rompe en cubos o bloques
(exfoliación cúbica)…
Los minerales que no tienen su
estructura interna ordenada, se
rompen de forma irregular. En
ese caso se llama exfoliación
imperfecta o fractura.
MAGNETISM (MAGNETISMO)

calcio producen espuma
cuando se les añade ácido
clorhídrico diluido por que
la reacción libera burbujas
de gas.
ODOR
Hay minerales, como el
azufre, que tienen un olor
espacial.
¿ Sabes cómo huele el
azufre?
