    Hypotheca: Lebih kecil. Katup lebih muda with girdleelements (hypocingulum)

    Connective Zone: tersusun dari gir yg salingmenindih (epicingulum and hypocingulum);

    penghubung katup, membentuk sekat yg memudahkankatup bergerak menjauh atau mendekat

    Septa: bagian yang terbentuk bersama dengan katupini bisa dipakai untuk mengenali diatom.
