Let’s Save Our Marine Habitat from Marine Pollution

Marine pollution is one of the biggest issues facing

our world today. Marine pollution is pollution that happen

in ocean and harmful for the marine life and its habitat, it’s

 because result of chemicals,  particles, industrial,

agricultural and residential waste, noise, or the spread of 

invasive organisms that entry into the ocean.

Recent study from the University of Georgia

found Indonesia to be the second biggest marine

pollutant in the world  , after hina. !n "#$#, !ndonesia

 produced %." million tons of plastic waste with $."&

million tons of that ending up in the ocean, the study says.

!t’s embarrasing and bad image for !ndonesia especially

!ndonesian people. So, after we 'now about this fact what

are we gonna do to create a better marine life

and to prevent another marine pollution (

Marine pollution in !ndonesia is not only the problem for !ndonesian territory

 but also another country in the world. So another country try to save marine habitat

from marine pollution in !ndonesia by collaborate with !ndonesian gvernment. Some

effort has been did to save !ndonesian marine habitat from marine pollution. )or 

e*ample + S government had recently begun wor'ing with the city of -andung in a

wastetoenergy pro/ect to recycle plastic waste turn it into energy. So, it can prevent

and reduce the marine pollution from the plastic waste that going into the ocean.

0nother things you can do to reduce the marine pollution is get your friends and

community involved. ontact your local representatives, let them 'now that you value

and support marine conservation. 1ducate your friends and cowor'ers on the

devastation happening to our oceans. Simple things li'e pic'ing up trash, even on your 

own street, can help prevent that plastic bag from ending up in the ocean and in turn be

ingested by a sea turtle2they thin' they’re 3ellyfish45. !f you live by the ocean, organi6ea beach cleanup4 !f you don’t live by the beach, you probably live close to a river, river
