WHAT IS A HYDRAULIC PRESS?

Hydraulic presses use hydrauliccylinders to generate pressure. Insidethe hydraulic press, there is a plate onwhich the sample is placed for samplepreparation.

Hydraulic presses work according to theprinciples of Pascal's law, which statesthat when pressure is applied to a closedfluid, pressure changes will occurthroughout the fluid. Inside the hydraulicpress, there is a piston that acts as apump, providing moderate mechanicalforce for a small portion of the sample.
