Mengintegrasikan faktor-faktor produksi (pekerja, mesin, persediaan, alat material handling, dsb).
Subsistem dari SFC (in product-based manufacturing cells):

Fungsi SFC:1. Mengeksekusi MPS dengan efisien.2. Mengontrol prioritas proses.3. Memperbaiki efisiensi operasi (proses) melalui
penjadwalan mesin dan pekerja yang tepat.4. Menjaga jumlah minimum WIP dan persediaan barang
jadi.
Fungsi PAC:1. Memastikan operasi yang terjadi sesuai dengan rencana.2. Melaporkan hasil operasi.3. Jika diperlukan, merevisi rencana untuk mencapai hasil
yang diperlukan.
Database Information Requirementsfor PAC System
1. The Planning Files
a. The Part Master FileMemuat data-data yang berkaitan dengan suatu part atau item: nomor part, deskripsi, MLT, on hand, allocated & on order quantities, serta lot size.
b. The Routing File Memuat informasi tentang proses operasi yang dialami oleh suatu item: nomor operasi, deskripsi, waktu setup, waktu proses, kode operasi.
c. The Work Center Master FileMemuat semua data yang berkaitan dengan
stasiun kerja: kapasitas, efisiensi, utilisasi, rata-rata waktu menunggu, alternatif stasiun kerja.
2. The Control Files memonitor dan mengontrol
a. The Shop Order Master File (for entire order)Kuantitas order, referensi data, prioritas, status informasi, data biaya, due date.
b. The Shop Order Detail File (for each operation)Hampir sama seperti Master File, hanya lebih detil untuk tiap operasi: planning, scheduling, actual progress of operations.
3. The Shop Planning CalendarJika kontrol produksi dilakukan dengan komputer, sulit untuk mengikuti penanggalan Gregorian, maka dibuat penanggalan khusus untuk rencana produksi.
Lead Time
Is a span of time required to perform an activity.
In a production and inventory context, the activity in question is normally the procurement of materials and/or products either from an outside supplier or from one’s own manufacturing facility.
The individual components of any given lead time can include some or all of the following: order preparation time, queue time, move time, receiving and inspection time.
Operation duration = Setup time (S) + Run time (R)
Interoprt. time = Waiting time + Move time +Queue time
Waiting time (W) Waktu suatu job menunggu sebelum dipindahkan ke
stasiun/proses berikutnya.
Total MLT = Q + S + R + W + M

Beberapa jenis produk diproduksi di satu lini produksi.
Pergantian produksi dari suatu jenis produk ke jenis lainnya membutuhkan waktu setup/changeover diminimasi.
Zero setup Mixed Model Production (JIT)
1. Jumlah persediaan tiap item2. Tingkat permintaan tiap item3. Waktu yang dibutuhkan untuk berubah dari item
satu ke item lainnya (setup)4. Kecepatan produksi tiap item5. Urutan proses tiap item (jika ada)
Jika waktu setup relatif kecil dan urutan produksi tiap item saling independent :
prioritaskan item dengan Run Out Time terkecil.
Run Out Time Method (with lot size considerations)Item diurutkan berdasarkan ROT terkecil.

Scheduling for Process Industry
Karakteristik umum: variasi input rendah, variasi output tinggi.Contoh : minyak mentah kerosene, jet fuel, dsb.
Biasanya memiliki Inverted Bill of Material.
Salah satu metode penjadwalan untuk menentukan ukuran lot jika terjadi perubahan produksi adalah metode Krajewski and Ritzman:
Produce each product in sequence, each the same fraction of annual demand.
Tentukan jumlah siklus (N) per tahun, sehingga diperoleh besar lot size tiap siklus.
Ti = total hari produksi per tahun untuk produk iNi = jumlah siklus per tahun untuk produk itsi = waktu setup untuk produk iDi = permintaan tahunan untuk produk itpi = waktu produksi per unit untuk produk i

i = ukuran lot untuk produk i= Di / Ni

Ti = Nitsi + Ditpi

Short Term Capacity Planning and Control:
INPUT / OUTPUT CONTROL
Merupakan proses terintegrasi yang mencakup aktivitas:1. Merencanakan performansi input dan output yang
dapat diterima pada tiap stasiun kerja.2. Mengukur dan melaporkan input dan output actual
(feedback).3. Koreksi situasi out of control.
Konsep dasar: Deviation = Actual – PlannedCumulative = CDi = CDi-1 + Deviation
= CDi-1 + (Ai – Pi)
WIPi = WIPi-1 + Ii - Oi
RateOutput
WIPTime Lead
Input Queue Process Output
Work In Process
Actual input and output deviate little from plan. WIP never deviate more than 5 hours from plan.
U1-14, Table 14.8-14.11
Planned WIP appears to be too high.
Reducing WIP from 32 hours to 20 hours. Once the desired level of WIP is reached, the input must be returned to the output level.
Equipment problem in Day 30: output decreased, but WIP did not decrease as planned.
Rectify the problem: fix the equipment, reduce WIP by reducing input and output.
Input is insufficient to produce the planned output. Actual input must be increased. The cause of input reduction must be identified and corrected.
Prinsip dari I/O Control adalah:1. Output yang direncanakan harus realistis dan
menggambarkan kapasitas tenaga kerja dan peralatan.
