Killed by his own father

• Jeffrey Giuliano was telephoned by his

sister who lived next to him in New

Fairfield, Connecticut, USA, at 1am on

Thursday aand told that she heard

someone breaking into her home.

• Mr Giuliano confronted the intruder, who

was dressed entirely in black and wearing

a ski mask, but according to police he was

lunged at by the suspect who had a 'shiny'

weapon. The 44-year-old responded by

opening fire.

• He then called police and sat on the kerb

just yards from the body, which lay in the

driveway, and waited for police to arrive.
