First of all we must give thanks to our God because of His blessing we can stand here until today.

Today I will deliver a speech about IS THERE A LINK BETWEEN SECIENCE AND TECHNOLOGY WITH CHRISTIANITY?

Ladies and gentlemen.

Before I answer that question, is better for us to know what is science and technology first?

Science is a knowledge based on facts which are set according to truth test a systems behavior while technology is the knowledge f the use of tools and crafts and how it affects the ability to control and adapt to their natural environment.

From this sense can be seen that science tends to be grounded in theory, while technology is an applied science. The church is a community or an individual who believes in Lord Jesus. Technology and science are closely related to the church because church and technology must go hand in hand and in accordance with of God is in the Bible.

The influence of the Christianity which led to the birth of science and technology is a reflection of the attitude of the Christian is responsible for the task given to man as God which is written in Genesis 1: 28 that say God blessed them, and God said to them, "Be fruitful and multiply, and fill the earth and subdue it; and have dominion over the fish of the sea and over the birds of the air and over every living thing that moves upon the earth."From that verse is underlying the birth of science and technology. From the verse that gave birth to the human mind how they can rule the earth in accordance with the will of God.

Now let me give you some examples of the link between science and technology with Christianity. First, the flood history that God commanded Noah to build ship to rescue He and his family from destruction due to flood and depravity of the world at the time. The dimensional space in the ship has been determined by God. ( Genesis 6: 14-15). Secondly, when Moses was ordered to make tabernacle(Exodus 25:9), God Himself has become the architect who planned the spaces, dimensions and materials for the tabernacle ( Exodus 25: 1-27). Third, about the temple and the palace built by King Salomo ( 1 king 7-8) and etc.From the examples above we can be seen that God never obstruct all the development of science and technology. We can see in the examples that every technology is always in associate with salvation and Gods purpose for man and the world.Ladies and Gentlemen

Science and technology has started since the beginning of human history. Humans have the creative power of science and technology because he was created as image of God and as a person who understands. God never limit the creativity of science and technology and human creations. Thus, human are given absolute freedom by God to be master of this nature include technology invented to good purpose and that is mainly to praise and glorify the name of God.Ladies and Gentlemen.

From the explanation above we can know that science and technology can mutually support one another. They cannot be separated from Christian Faith. Christian Faith is believing precede knowledge means Trust in God first then we can know Him, because He cannot proven with through limited human knowledge. To obtain true knowledge, first of all people should have the respect and fear of the Lord. Said in Proverbs 1:7 The fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom. Fools despise wisdom and instruction.The bible say A wise man will hear, and will increase learning; and a man of understanding shall attain unto wise counsels. From this verse we can see that God actually wants us, humans continue to development themselves, increase knowledge and understanding. This means that we do not need stay away from science and technology, but we must keep it getting better and better. So I conclude that science and technology have two side, negative and positive side. We as humans should be and should use them to the positive things and that is definitely the ultimate goal is to praise and glorify the name of God I the world.
