    Week 20

After the siksha ceremony , there must be feeling of a sense of achievement in the members.,

and a feeling of greater commitment. Those who did not commit themselves yet, should bealso encouraged to continue, and not be made to feel like failures. Intangible ways of

encouragement can go a long way in making them want to rogress. !iving them association

and being very friendly , caring and concerned about their general welfare normally draws out

their heart. "ngage them in services that interest them. #ou can invite them to come and chant

with you whenever they find time, so they can develo the taste to chant with concentration.

$ince the grou have been with each other for % months, they should be familiar with one

another. &y now the gentle encouragement and the 'rsna sevak seminar must have

established in them some desire to read $rila (rabhuada)s books.#ou can now make the sharing of what they read during the week be the mainstay of your ice*

breaker session, as they will also be sharing reali+ations on what they have read. &ut for those

who are newer members or those still resisting to read, or for visitors, you can kee a ice*

istribute the sheet containing the ranama mantras and the 3are 'rsna mantra as well as theglorifications at the end of the kirtana to the newer members.

    Week 21

As the devotees become more settled and committed they must be waiting to attend the

weekly &hakti riksha. The evidence of this is when all of them arrive well on time and are

eager not to miss any art of the rogram and are also volunteering to do more and more

services. This is the life of the &hakti riksha and this enthusiasm is generated by the &hakti

riksha leader, if his sadhana is in a good state and he or she is also eager for the siritualadvancement of his grou members who are under his care.

#oung arents find the role of arenting a great challenge as they are themselves in the

rocess of growing u, but the sheer 6oy of being resonsible for another living entity kees

them going and knocks out so many of their self* centeredness, as they kee imroving in

their task . $o also with being the siritual arent of the &hakti riksha grou.

#oung arents also take guidance from their own arents and seniors, and so a &hakti riksha

leader being a genuine well wisher of his members should be constantly consulting and

reorting to his seniors, so that he is always sure that he is giving his best for his grou. The

grou will greatly value this sincerity of the leader. This is the most imortant uality of the

demoniac. The demon harasses the devotee, even though the latter may haen to be his

The :ord says that 3e incarnates 3imself in every millennium. This indicates that 3e

    Vyuha program

A yuha rogram involves the articiation of two or three &hakti riksha grous together in

a combined rogram. It is a break from the regular &hakti riksha rogram and has a different

format. A senior leader is invited to give a discourse@ lecture.

    %%

  • 7/24/2019 Krishna Sadhak

    45/61

&efore we start describing to you how the yuha rogram is conducted, let us see the

    reasons for conducting it.

19 It is a break in format from the regular &hakti riksha meetings. The members need tohave something different and rela7ing eriodically, so that a kind of comlacency or

monotony does not set in, and their sirits are ulifted. This will also enthuse them to

be more articiative and involved in the &hakti riksha meetings.

29 It is a chance for them to come in touch with more senior devotees. If they have a

sector leader@ circle leader @greater circle leader, then it is an oortunity to listen to

their lecture and to associate closely with them.

9 The cultural art of the rogram is entertaining as well. The audience is enlivened and

so are the articiants . ;embers) talents can be recogni+ed and areciated. The

(arents are very enthusiastic if their children articiate in a skit@song@ dance@ sloka

recitation@ etc..This can reinforce their interest in the &hakti riksha rogram further.

B9 It is a good oortunity for the members to invite their friends and acuaintances for

the rogram, as it is not a regular one . It would be an en6oyable evening for them, as

long kirtans, games, ui+, cultural rograms, lecture, feast etc.would be included in the

    rogram.

D9 The &hakti riksha members will get a wonderful oortunity to render different

services while organi+ing the rogram. This increases their service attitude, co*

oeration with other devotees and an oortunity to learn different skills in the service

    of 'rsna.

Vyuha program 82 hours and 1= minutes9#ou can ad6ust the time to suit your

    convenience.

193ave a regular Arathi and kirtan HHH 30 mnutes.

29When everyone is seated, introduce the guest of honour to the members , welcome

him@her as well as the audience.Any of the &hakti riksha leaders@ sector leader8if he is

not the secial guest himself9 can do this.

Introduce the different &hakti riksha leaders to the audience. :et the leaders introduce

their members to the audience. They can invite a few of the volunteers within the grou to

come and seak about their e7eriences of attending their &hakti rikshas. Nust 2 or months

time you have some serious ermanent members who are very much convinced abut the

rogram and are ready to take u this level of siksha. This is because the toics covered

during the last 2 months were geared to giving them the basic understanding of why they

need to come to a higher level of this siksha.

(lease do not let very 6unior members attend the seminar as they most robably will feel

uncomfortable listening to the regulative rinciles being discussed and may dro out of therogram altogether.

Welcome all the members and guests. ;ake a change in the seating arrangement, as today

they would all have to sit in a crowd facing the seaker, rather than in a circle.
