BACKGROUND OF THE PROJECT• Existing Defensive Driving Culture within QG.• Improve, Expand, Maintain this culture within and

outside so that society as a whole improves as a Defensive Driving Society. Don’t suffer because of others (e.g. Passive Smoking).

• Proactive and Reactive Managements of problem.• What are we doing for safe and defensive drivers?

Attractive Raffle Prizes.• Open to all drivers within Qatar who have changed

their mindset or are willing to change.

ACHIEVEMENTS TILL DATE!• Established ourselves during 26 months of operation

with a database of ~ 4000 membership-registrations.

• Sharing road safety messages, presentations, videos, pictures etc with members through e-mails.

• Conducted two mega-events to offer our members attractive raffle incentives such as Car, driving utilities, TVs, Cameras, PCs etc

• Promoting safe driving by developing a unique identity of defensive drivers by uniting them under one umbrella.

• Inspiring non-members to be part of this noble movement & benefit through self-corrective behaviour.

• Pictures Tell A Thousand Words. Let’s have a psychological impacts on Youths. They don’t want to be injured but many have not seen the consequence of severe accidents. I had not seen a dead body in my life until I was 19 year old. Until then I used to drive motorbike very fast. Show youths the frightening pictures periodically.

• Safe Drivers Feel Left Out. Give Them Raffle Prizes. Traffic departments of different countries.

CONCLUSIONDelegates may implement similar concepts in their countries or organizations or group of organizations. The only shortcoming is we are a voluntary orgn. No full time.
