    2/2

The challenge is to run 1250 kms along the equator from Bali to Jakarta

Starting on the 8th of March 2012, the run will be on average 50 kms a day for25 consecutive days, the equivalent of 30 back-to-back marathons. It will takeScott through 5 provinces: Bali, East Java, Central Java, West Java and Jakarta.Scott has planned the run to take in some wonderful sites along the way and nodoubt some tropical heat and humidity as well.

    Why ?

Scott’s principal motivation for this World-frst Bali to Jakarta run is to raise asmuch funds as possible in support of 2 charities that specically help children in

    Indonesia, namely:

Yayasan Cinta Anak Bangsa (YCAB) and Mary’s Cancer Kiddies (MCK).

    Who is funding it ?

All expenses associated with the organisation of the run as well as the run itself, will be out of Scott’s own pocket and only the 2 named charities will benet

    nancially from the donations raised.

Your Opportunity to be a part of it!

Apart from trying to wear in his new wellies, somewhat masochistically, Scott’smain objective is to raise as much funding as possible to support the two namedchildren’s charities. Any donation, no matter how small, will help to make the run,and the blisters, all worthwhile. Those of you who remember Scott’s previoustemporary lapse of reason “ a 250km Cross-Sahara run” will know that this kindof commitment makes a real and lasting difference to many children, giving hopeand the access to the kind of treatment that we all wish for our own children.Bake a cake, organise your own sposored run at school ....whatever it takes toadd to the event.

    Corporate Sponsorship

Corporate sponsors who feel that this objectives is in keeping with their ownCSR programmes are welcome to participate in the project and will of coursehave full access to the project information from run to application of funds raised.

By way of recognition for corporate sponsors there will be great opportunitiesfor branding and placement of corporate logos on all promotional materialsincluding Scott’s T-Shirt, shorts and even his wellies. The support vehicle willalso be available for corporate logos as will stage markers throughout the run.Exclusive Media rights for advertising and television will also be available.

Corporate Sponsors The bottom line This is a unique opportunity to participate in a project where every Rupiah raisedwill go directly to help improve the lives of some of the most vulnerable membersof our society and a unique opportunity to pledge your company’s commitmentto CSR at the sharp end where it makes a real difference.1250 KM - AN ULTRA-MARATHON PER DAY
