PERTANIAN Agriculture

Tanaman Bahan Makanan Tanaman bahan makanan terdiri dari padi dan palawija. Tanaman padi dan palawija yang dibudi-dayakan di Provinsi Gorontalo me-liputi padi sawah, jagung, ubi kayu, ubi jalar, kacang kedelai, kacang hijau, dan kacang tanah. Luas panen padi sawah tahun 2010 adalah 45.370 hektar dengan luas panen terbesar berada di Kabupaten Gorontalo seluas 20.105 hektar.

Luas panen jagung di Provinsi Gorontalo adalah seluas 143.833 hektar. Untuk luas panen jagung terbesar berada di Kabupaten Po-huwato dengan 47,20 persen dari total luas panen jagung provinsi.

Hortikultura Hortikultura meliputi komoditas sayur-sayuran dan buah-buahan. Angka yang ditampilkan merupakan angka tetap 2010.

Food Crops

Food crops consist of paddy and crops planted. Those plant that cultivate in Gorontalo Province in-clude paddy in wet rice field, maize, cassava, sweet potatoes, soybean, mungbean, and peanuts. Paddy yield areas in 2010 are 45.370 hectares with the widest yield areas in Gorontalo Regency that reached 20.105 hectares. Corn yield areas in Gorontalo Province are 143.833 hectares. The widest yield areas of corn is in Po-huwato Regency with 47,20 per-cent of the total corn yield areas.

Horticulture Horticulture comprises vegeta-bles and fruits. Figures that shows in this book are preliminary figures of horticulture in 2010.

Komoditas tanaman sayur-sayuran yang ada di Provinsi Go-rontalo adalah bawang merah, daun bawang, bayam, buncis, kangkung, ketimun, cabai besar, cabai rawit, sawi, terong, kacang panjang, kubis, labu siam, dan to-mat. Diantara tanaman-tanaman ter-sebut, cabai rawit merupakan ko-moditas utama sayur-sayuran. Luas panen habis cabai rawit adalah 1.661 hektar dengan produksi se-banyak 25.028 ton. Sedangkan jenis buah-buahan yang diproduksi pada tahun 2010 adalah alpukat, belimbing, duku (langsat), durian, jambu biji, jambu air, jeruk siam (keprok), jeruk besar, mangga, nangka, nanas, pepaya, pisang, rambutan, salak, sirsak, dan sukun. Di antara buah-buahan tersebut, pisang menjadi komoditas utama dengan produksi setahun sebanyak 4.963,1 ton.

Commodity of vegetables in Gorontalo Province are onions, leek, spinach, beans, swamp cab-bage, cucumber, big chili, small chili, mustard greens, eggplants, string beans, cabbage, chayote, and tomatoes. Among all vegetables, small chili has become main commodity. Yield area of small chili are 1.661 hec-tares with production of 25.028 ton. Meanwhile fruits that produced in the year 2010 are avocado, star-fruit, duku, durian, seed jambu, water jambu, tangerine, big citrus, mango, jackfruit, pinneaple, pa-paya, banana, rambutan, salak, sapodilla, soursop, and breadfruit. Among all fruits, banana has become prime commidity with number of production 4.963,1 tons.
