Faith and FriendshipThis month students will be diving into a new Wednesday night Bible study which examines how our faith impacts our friendships. Students will learn what it takes to really be a “best friend” by
examining God’s love towards us and examining stories of friendships done right and friendships gone wrong in the Bible. Join us for this new series.
Youth Choir JamYouth Choir JAM is a weekend (Friday & Saturday) of music work-shops and fellowship with students from youth choirs around Vir-ginia, including Richmond, Hampton, Blacksburg & Roanoke. This
year the JAM will be hosted at River Road Church. The event ends with a concert on Saturday afternoon, which is open to the public.
Hull Street Shelter DinnerOn the first Friday (December 3) of each December youth and their families provide dinner for the Hull Street Center homeless shelter. Please sign up to provide a dish or to come and serve dinner.
Snack Supper will be provided by Rob and Jody Smart on November 14 and William and Eleanor Nurney on November 21. Regular Wednesday activities (6:00 p.m. Small group and 7:00 - 7:30 Group Building games) will be held during November. Regular Sunday evening activities (5:15 p.m. Youth Choir Rehearsal, 6:00 p.m. Snack Supper - $3, 6:30 - 7:30 p.m. Current youth worship) will be held in November. There will be NO evening youth activities on November 7. On November 28 there will be no Current youth Worhship so students can attend Hanging of the Green together. The Inquirers class will be Wednesdays, November 3 - 28 (skip November 7) at 6:00 p.m.

ADVENT-ure Lunch for FamiliesOn the First Sunday of Advent, preschoolers and elementary-aged children and their families join together for lunch and the mak-
ing of an Advent wreath for their family to use in Advent celebrations in the home. Each family also receives an Advent calendar as well as other ideas for celebrating the Advent season.
Hanging of the GreenThis is a special celebration of preparing our church for the coming
Christmas season. The service is at 6:00 p.m. in the Sanctuary.
Parents & Co.Parents & Co. is a support and resource group for parents (and
grandparents and friends) of preschool and elementary-aged children. This group focuses on the spiritual, emotional and physical health of the family. Speakers present information that is helpful in the strengthening of families. Parents & Co. meets once a month from September through May on Wednes-day evenings from 6:30 - 7:30 p.m.

Suggestions: Clothing (including jeans, sweaters, sweatshirts, sleepwear, hats, gloves, socks, and underwear),games, toys, books, bicycles and helmets. Go easy on stuffed animals and Barbie dolls. In other words, purchase gifts that you would want your own children to receive. Do not wrap them; the parents need to see what they are selecting. (If you would like to donate some wrapping paper that will be appreciated.) Get your children to help in selections. Bring items to River Road Church Missions Table or the Church Office.
