Bagaimana Pemecahannya?

TEMUAN BLOOM
Bloom classifies learning behaviors according to six levelsranging from Knowledge, which focuses upon recitation offacts, to Evaluation, which requires complex valuing andweighing of information. Each level relates to a higher level ofcognitive ability. This taxonomy is useful in designingquestions, lessons, tasks for students.
Bloom found that 95% of test questions focused on the lowestlevel, namely recalling of information.
DEFINISI HOTS
FJ King, Ludwika Goodson, Faranak Rohani, Higher Order Thinking Skills, theCenter for Advancement of Learning and Assessment (CALA), Florida State ofUniversity
Higher order thinking skills (HOTS) include critical, logical, reflective, metacognitive, and creative thinking. They are activated when individuals encounter unfamiliar problems, uncertainties, questions, or dilemmas.
A hard or tricky problem is not always mean a HOTS context, but a simple problem maylead to the rise of the student higher order thinking skills when they are set in anonroutine or non algorithmical problem.
Tony Tomson, International Electronic Journal of Mathematics Education (2008)
Higher order thinking skills (HOTS) is thingking activities to solve a task where noalgorithm has been taught, where justification or explanation are required, and wheremore than one solution may be possible.
Lorin Anderson and David Krathwohl - 2000

PENGERTIAN PENDEKATAN CONSTRUCTIVE CONSTRAVERSY
Karl A. Smith, Constructive Controversy in Engineering Undergraduate, Masters,Doctorate, and Professional Settings, the ASEE/IEEE Frontiers in EducationConference Proceeding, (2009), page: 1-23
Constructive controversy was proposed firstly by the Johnson and Johnsoncooperative learning group at University of Minnesota in the late 70s and theapproach was well supported from theoretical, empirical and practical perspectives(Johnson and Johnson, 1987). In a typical constructive controversy process, studentsare required to study and prepare a position to a controversial issue, present andadvocate for their position, refute opposing arguments, reverse perspectives, andfinally create a synthesis that group members can agree upon based on the bestavailable evidence (Johnson and Johnson, 1988).
