About Rabbi Yair Shachor Rabbi Yair Shachor serves as the community rabbi of

Maale Levona, in the Shomron near Shilo. He is also the head of the Michlol Hesder yeshiva, which combines Torah learning and training for a profession. He is a graduate of

Yeshivat Shaalvim, and a talmid of Rabbi Meir Schlesinger. Rabbi Shachor was also close to Rabbi Nouwirth ז"ל, the author of the sefer Shmirat Shabbat Kehilchata.
