PRODUCTION) TECHNIQUE TO IMPROVE WRITING
SKILL
CHAPTER 1
INTRODUCTION
Writing is most difficult skill to develop among the student. It is most likely the most
difficult activities among the four basic language skill. It need basic knowledge wich enable
student to cover all nessesary thing to communicative and understable writing such as, grammar,
vocabulary coherence, cohention, idiom, expression etc. that way its quiete hard to improve.
Among English teacher themselves, especially English in Indonesia still find alote of difficulties.
What should the teacher write? The teacher need not to write anything because the government
has already facilitated had the book and material for teaching. They have no problem. So, the
teacher just come to the class by using the book.
A.Background of the study
Abstract:This article aims how to improve writing skill for senior high school by using PPP
technique. The stand for of PPP is presentation, practice, production. The research design in this
study is quantitative research in the form of classroom action research. The subjects of this study
is first year students in senior high school, and consist of 48 students. According to preliminarystudy there are some problems when the students make paragraphs such as difficult to express
the idea for their essay, difficult to correlate the sentence based on the topic sentence, and also
difficult to understand the new material. So, the researcher used PPP method to solve those
problems. In this study the researcher use kind of test is writing test. The test is done in pairs.

The criteria of success in this study is when the students get score based on the KKM, the score
is 75. In this study the average of students achievement is 77.5.

Method
The design of study in classroom action research. Action research is systemathic is
inquiery with the goal of informing practice in particular situation. C A R is away for teacher to
discussion what work in their own classroom situation, thuse allowing information decision
about teaching. According to MCc. Niff (1996:6) state the action research in an intervention in
personal practice to bring about improvement it has a special kind of research problem.
A very characteristic of CAR is that it is conducted in the classroom, that focus of the
study is the interaction between in the researcher of the participant. An essential participant as
well as CAR is the collaboration with the research participant in each state in the research
project, including identifying research question, developing data question procedures, analizyng
the data information and sharing thje result.
C. FINDING AND DISSCUSION
This subtopic concern in the discussion of the result of the implementation of ppp
method, both interm of environment students score and the other such as the student response
and participation to the writing process in teaching learning process. And about thje classroom
atmosphere.
Further research about the implementation of ppp method wich had done by the
researchers during 15days, turn out some data that could present the extent to wich thw successof this method. Writing skill became the basic thought of this study, therefore the result must be
appropriate write the definition of writing skill. The kinds of writing skill wich implemented in
this action research was comprehensibility skill because in this case student were demanded to
make writing text wich could communicate message and understandable by the reader.

D. CONCLUSION AND SUGGESTION
This action classroom of implementation of ppp method to improve writing skill of first year
student can be valid technique for further involving students writers of all in all the stage of the
writing process. The main process that emphasized were pre writing process, whils writing
process. All three of them were included of this application of ppp method. For further
researches who want to implement this technique should thing hard before. The good lesson plan
must be prepare closed to perfect. Understanding about the material wich will be taught is
important thing; the material will bring the effectiveness of this technique. Other thing must be
concerned for further researches is about the atmosphere in the classroom, and the characteristic
of students.
