On the Earth Hour program launched by the government each dated March 31 that unused power outage at each homes and businesses in the evenings for 1 hour, the government can save a subsidy of 3 trillion rupiah. Earth Power Program aims to make people aware of the importance of saving electricity, although only 1 hour. Therefore the design of smart homes need to be made to electricity savings not only for 1 hour will be but as long as continuous. So expect subsidies from the government for electricity will be smaller while the government to build new power plants with cheap fuel. This smart home design will automatically turn off unused electrical or power off when no one is coming into the room in the house. This smart house designs will not change a lot of home design, this design change only the input power supply network output MCB (miniature circuit breaker) to set the whole house and changing the input power supply that led to their room if it will regulate electrical energy in each room . ABSTRACT

With rising fuel prices automatically needs of the more expensive one tariff price of electricity (TDL) because many power plants in Indonesia are still using diesel fuel. Price of electricity per kwh will further increase with the increasing scarcity of fuel from year to year. This will result in people not be able to have electricity when there is no subsidy from the government or the public can enjoy the power with the power of government subsidies are higher. switches, relays, auxiliary contactors and contactor. With the selector switch, the household electrical appliance which can be set to continue living such as refrigerators and dispensers. So that when the selector switch is selected to the position of power tools, then the equipment will not die even though no residents. Relay serves as attorney-energize (activators) contactor. Serves as an auxiliary contactor driver's latch (lock) contactor. While the breaker or contactor to function as a power supply connector. So with a simple design and components that are very easy to get, then the smart home is easily applied to every home and companies that were using a regular grid.

INTRODUCTION

Smart house is one of some sollutions for us to raise up the energy saving programs. It has a very simple idea or design so the working principle for the Smart House just can be applied more easily then. The design of Smart House has some differents with other existing automatic installation, so in other way it makes some special benefits for the costumers. The changing from ordinary house into Smart House will greatly benefit the residents and government who are working on energy saving. With the cost of 40.000,- Rupiahs of purchasing the components, the working principle for the Smart House just can be applied. Government is a part that most get the impact of the Smart House. It was once applied to The Earth Hour Program ( turn off 2 lights for an hour), where the government can save the electric energy as much as 3 Billion Rupiahs. And with the Smart House, every homes take not only turn 2 lights off but also all of the electric equipments that unused as long as it has no residents.

As we know that, the increasing scarcity of fossil fuels makes the high price of it. With the rise in fuel prices, automatically result in the prices of needs be more expensive such as the price of electricity (TDL) because many power plants in Indonesia are still using diesel fuel. Price of electricity per kWh will further increase with the increasing scarcity of fuel from year to year. The case will cause people not be able to enjoy the electricity if there is no subsidized of the government or another way the people are able to enjoy the electricity with the higher subsidy of the government. Therefore there are some solutions from the government to solve out this problem, including putting new power plants with low cost fuel and use electricity more wisely or have to be more efficient for using electricity.

Therefore, through the Earth Hour Program that is very supportive to the implementation of energy saving, The smart House were created a design that context very well provide enough variation for us. So with a simple design and components that are very easy to get, then the smart home is easily applied to every home and companies that were using a regular grid. Simple, isn’t it ? And ofcourse this Smart House will benefit many peoples for saving the energy and coupled with a small cost to pay the electricity in each month and very benefical also for the government. Where the government is curently sparking the energy-saving program cause of the scarcity of fuel and oil.

MATERIALS AND METHODS

1. Components required

The working principle of the Smart House is just get in to power on and power off the energy in the house automatically. So that for the smart house design, it only needs to use some components such as selector switch, 220 VAC relay, contactor (it needs when large users of electrical power) and mini push button. All of the components are very easily available in stores at an affordable price. Tabel 1 to shows the specifications of the components with fee details.

2. Working Principle

The working principle of this device are automatically turn off the electric power when no one at home, except for some electrical equipment in the house that can not be off (essential equipment) and turn on the power when the condition is opposite with the above one. This device works by use the main function of a push button that is installed in the key hole of the front door of house and the key hole of the secondary lock for the door of house. When it gets some peoples, the house holder may not lock the door or the secondary lock in a way. So when there are some peoples in that house, the push button is disenergized if the door is unlocked. But when they lock the door inside of house, both of push buttons which are installed in the keyhole of the door and in keyhole of the secondary one are energized. It means that when no people in the house, the house holder should be lock the primary key without the secondary one. So only one push button that available in the key hole is energized.

The working principle of this advice can be explained through a single line control loop as shown in Figure 1.

SW1 is the push button that is installed in the main keyhole of the door, SW2 is the push button that is installed in the keyhole of the secondary one of the door. The non-essential load is going to be off automatically when SW1 is energized or the house holder locks the door outside. Whereas non essential load is not going to be off when SW1 is not energized or the house holder are in house. In other condition it can be happen to non essential load that is not going to be off when SW1 and SW2 are energized, or the house holder locks the door inside. Switch selector works as an option for teh house holder to automate the essential load or not.

The installation of this control device on the front door can be seen in Figure 2 and 3.

RESULTS AND DISCUSSIONS

The changing from ordinary homes into Smart homes will greatly benefit the residents and government who are working on energy saving. With the cost of 40.000,- Rupiahs of purchasing the components, the working principle for the Smart House just can be applied. Government is a part that most get the impact of the Smart House. It was once applied to The Earth Hour Program ( turn off 2 lights for an hour), where the government can save the electric energy as much as 3 Billion Rupiahs. And with the Smart House, every homes take not only turn 2 lights off but also all of the electric equipments that unused as long as it has no residents. So this Smart House is as one of sollutions for energy saving at home eventhough the office.

Difference between this Smart House design and some existing automatic installation is this series has been designed so that the residents can not manipulate the working of the automatic circuit. As an example, in the hotel room door cards with the automation, so that when there is no occupant in the room automatically power electric equipments off, it means that they can manipulate it use the other kind of cards to keep electrical equipments appliances turning on eventhough no occupants in the room. But when we use this Smart House automation loop design, the occupants cannot mannipulate it due the push button switch (the activating power tool) is installed in the main keyhole. In the other function or we can say as the second function of the Smart House automation loop, the occupant just no needs to replace the lock on their door. It is really different from the automation of using door cards which has to change the latch with a key door automation.

With the cost of design and installation as well as effectiveness in manipulating different automation work in the conversion of the Smart House, so the design of this Smart House will be more readily applied by the public. Because this Smart House will benefit many peoples for saving the energy and coupled with a small cost to pay the electricity in each month and very benefical alsa for the government. Where the government is curently sparking the energy-saving program cause of the scarcity of fuel and oil.

CONCLUSIONS

1. The working principle of the Smart House are automatically turn off the electric power when no one at home, except for some electrical equipment in the house that can not be off (essential equipment) and turn on the power when there is the resident. Whre it needs some of components such as selector switch, 220 VAC relay, contactor (it needs when large users of electrical power) and mini push button.

2. The conversion from the ordinary house into Smart House will cost only Rp. 40.000,-(40.000 Rupiahs) for purchasing the components are very easily available in stores.

3. Difference between this Smart House design and some existing automatic installation is this series has been designed so that the residents can not manipulate the working of the automatic circuit. And the second benefit is the occupant just no need to replace the lock on their door. It is really different from the automation of using door cards which has to change the latch with a key door automation.
