SEJARAH

Perkembangan Program Studi

Program Studi Teknik Sipil, Fakultas Teknik Sipil danPerencanaan, Universitas Kristen Petra didirikan padatanggal 15 September 1962. Pada awalnya Program StudiTeknik Sipil menempati gedung di Jalan Embong KemiriNo. 11 dan Jalan Indrapura, Surabaya. Kondisi ruang untukperkuliahan maupun ruang untuk admistrasi masih sangatminim dan sederhana karena memanfaatkan bangunanrumah tinggal.

Pada tahun 1970 semua kegiatan akademis maupunadministrasi dipindahkan ke Jalan Kalianyar No. 43,Surabaya. Kemudian pada tahun 1977, kembali kampusUniversitas Kristen Petra mengalami perpindahan lokasidari Jalan Kalianyar No. 43 ke Jalan Siwalankerto No. 121-131, Surabaya. Hal ini disebabkan karena kampus lamasudah tidak dapat menampung jumlah mahasiswa yang daritahun ke tahun jumlah pendaftarnya semakin meningkat.

Selanjutnya kampus Universitas Kristen Petra di JalanSiwalankerto ini dipergunakan sampai sekarang. ProgramStudi Teknik Sipil menempati Gedung P lantai 4.

Demikian perkembangan gedung Program Studi TeknikSipil dari tahun 1962 sampai dengan sekarang.

HISTORY

The Development of the Civil Engineering Department

The Civil Engineering Department, Faculty of CivilEngineering and Planning, was established on 15September 1962. Initially, the Department was located at 11Embong Kemiri Street and on Indrapura Street, Surabaya.Classrooms and Administration rooms were very simpleand limited because it was actually a house.

In 1970, all academic and administrative activities of PetraChristian University were moved to 43 Kalianyar Street. In1977, the campus was finally moved to 121-131Siwalankerto Street, because the old campus had beenoverloaded with the increasing number of students year byyear.

Since then, the campus on Siwalankerto has been usedintensively and now the Civil Engineering Department islocated on the fourth floor of Building P.

- Status TerdaftarPada tanggal 21 Mei 1963 Program Studi Teknik Sipilmemperoleh Status Terdaftar dari DepartemenPerguruan Tinggi dan Ilmu Pengetahuan Jakarta,dengan SK No. 67/B-SWT/P/63.

- Status DiakuiPada tanggal 22 Januari 1981 Program Studi TeknikSipil memeperoleh Penetapan Peningkatan StatusDiakui dari Menteri Pendidikan dan KebudayaanRepublik Indonesia, dengan SK No. 042/O/1981.

- Status DisamakanPada tanggal 5 Oktober 1989 Program Studi TeknikSipil memperoleh Status Disamakan dari MenteriPendidikan dan Kebudayaan Republik Indonesia,dengan SK No. 0660/O/1989.Pada tanggal 28 Oktober 1995 Program Studi TeknikSipil memperoleh Penetapan Kembali StatusDisamakan dari Direktur Jenderal Pendidikan TinggiDepartemen dan Kebudayaan Republik Indonesia,dengan SK No. 412/DIKTI/Kep/1995.

- Status Terakreditasi APada tanggal 11 Agustus 1998 Program Studi TeknikSipil memperoleh Akreditasi dengan peringkat A (BaikSekali) dari Badan Akreditasi Nasional PerguruanTinggi, dengan SK No. 01139/Ak-I.1/UKLLDS/VIII/1998.Status terakhir Program Studi Teknik Sipil adalahterkakreditasi dengan peringkat A (Baik Sekali)berdasarkan Sertifikasi Akrediatasi Nomor:222/SK/BAN-PT/Ak-XVI/S/XI/2013 dari BadanAkreditasi Nasional Perguruan Tinggi.

Academic Status

- Registered StatusThe Registered Status was acquired on May 21,1963 from the Department of Higher Educationand Science, Jakarta, with the decree No. 67/B-SWT/P/63

- Acknowledged StatusThe academic status was improved on January 22,1981, into the Acknowledge status with the decreeof the Ministry of Education and Culture No.042/O/1981

- Accredited StatusOn October 5, 1989, the Civil EngineeringDepartment once again improved its academicstatus into Accredited Status with the decree of theMinistry of Education and Culture No.0660/O/1989.On October 28, 1995, this status was renewed andthe Directorate General of Higher Education,Department of Education and Culture of RepublicIndonesia, confirmed the status with the decreeNo. 412/DIKTI/Kep/1995.

- Accredited with Grade AOn August 11, 1998, the Civil EngineeringDepartment acquired the Accredited Status withGrade A (Excellent) from the NationalAccreditation Board with the decree No.01139/Ak-I.1/UKLLDS/VIII/1998.The latest academic status of the Civil EngineeringDepartment is Accredited with Grade A(Excellent) with the decree No: 222/SK/BAN-PT/Ak-XVI/S/XI/2013.

1.1. PROGRAM PENDIDIKAN

Fakultas Teknik Sipil dan Perencanaan-Program StudiTeknik Sipil Universitas Kristen Petra menyelenggarakanprogram pendidikan sarjana strata satu (S1) dengan lulusanbergelar Sarjana Teknik (S.T.). Jumlah SKS minimum yangwajib diselesaikan adalah 148 sks.

1.2. VISI PROGRAM STUDI TEKNIKSIPIL

Menjadi Program Studi Teknik Sipil yang peduli dansanggup memenuhi serta mengikuti perubahan-perubahancepat dari kebutuhan masyarakat baik regional maupunglobal serta berkomitmen pada nilai-nilai Kristiani.

1.3. MISI PROGRAM STUDI TEKNIKSIPIL

Membentuk dan menghasilkan sarjana teknik sipil yangmampu menjadi pembelajar mandiri serta mampu danterampil secara mendasar untuk merencanakan,menganalisis, dan mengendalikan persoalan-persoalan yangberkaitan dengan pembangunan industri yang berwawasanlingkungan.

1.1. EDUCATIONAL PROGRAM

Department of Civil Engineering, Faculty of CivilEngineering and Planning, Petra Christian University offersan undergraduate program with minimum 148 credits toobtain a degree of Sarjana Teknik (S.T.).

1.2. VISIONS OF DEPARTMENT OFCIVIL ENGINEERING

To be a Department of Civil Engineering who cares and beable to meet and keep pace with the rapid change of societyneeds at regional and international level as well ascommitted to Christian values.

1.3. MISSIONS OF DEPARTMENT OFCIVIL ENGINEERING

To educate students to be independent learner, capable, andhave basic skills to design, analyze, and control problems ofindustrial development correspond to environmentprotection issues as civil engineers.

1.4. TUJUAN PROGRAM STUDI TEKNIKSIPIL

1. Membekali mahasiswa dengan dasar-dasar keilmuanteknik sipil agar lulusan mampu berperan secaraaktif dan bertanggungjawab dalam pembangunanindustry konstruksi nasional yang berwawasanlingkungan, baik secara perencana maupunpelaksana/pengelola pembangunan;

2. Mengembangkan penelitian yang kontekstual dibidang teknik sipil dan menyebarluaskan hasilpenelitian kepada masyarakat;

3. Mengupayakan pemanfaatan pengetahuan di bidangteknik sipil untuk meningkatkan taraf hidupmasyarakat

1. To equip students with basic knowledge of civilengineering in order to become active andresponsible engineers in the national constructionindustry which considering environmental issues,either as a consultant or contractor/manager of aproject;

2. To develop relevant researches in the field of civilengineering and disseminate the results to society;

3. To promote the implementation of civil engineeringknowledge in order to increase the standard of livingof society

PROGRAM PENDIDIKAN SARJANA (S1)/UNDERGRADUATE PROGRAM

2.1. PERATURAN AKADEMIK

Secara umum ketentuan akademik Program S1 ProgramStudi Teknik Sipil sudah tercantum pada KatalogMahasiswa Universitas Kristen Petra. Hal-hal yang lebihkhusus diberikan penjelasan sebagai berikut.

2. 1.1. Syarat Nilai MinimumNilai minimal kelulusan mata kuliah adalah C, kecuali matakuliah kelompok: Sains-dasar, yaitu: Matematika I, Matematika II,

Matematika III, Matematika IV, Fisika Dasar, KimiaDasar (lihat sub-bab 2.2.1, bagian B.a)

Penunjang, yaitu: Bahasa Pemrograman, Statistik,Teknik Penulisan dan Presentasi (lihat sub-bab 2.2.1bagian B.f)

Dasar umum selain Etika, Pancasila danKewarganegaraan, Filsafat Agama, Etika Profesi(dengan kata lain, nilai kelulusan Etika, Pancasila danKewarganegaraan, Filsafat Agama, Etika PRofesiminimal C). Mata kuliah yang telah mendapat nilai Catau lebih tidak boleh ditempuh/diulang lagi.

2.1. ACADEMIC REGULATIONS

Generally, academic regulations of Undergraduate Programof Civil Engineering are mentioned in Student Handbook ofPetra Christian University. Specific details are given asfollow.

2.1.1. Minimum Grade RequirementThe minimum passing grade of all classes is C, except for: Basic science courses, i.e.: Mathematics I, Mathematics

II, Mathematics III, Mathematics IV, Basic Physics,Basic Chemistry

Supporting courses, i.e.: Computer Programming,Statistics, Scientific Writing Technic, (see sub-chapter2.2.1 part B.f)

General courses except Ethics, Civic and Ideology,Philosophy of Religion, Professional Ethics (in other word,Ethics, Civic and Ideology, Philosophy of Religion,Professional Ethics minimum grade is C). Students whohave passed classes with grade C or higher are not allowedretaking those classes.

2.1.2. Pengambilan Mata Kuliah PengutamaanUntuk Bidang Studi Disain terdapat 4 (empat)Pengutamaan, yaitu: Rekayasa Struktur, Rekayasa Keairan,Rekayasa Transportasi, dan Rekayasa Geoteknik.Sedangkan untuk Bidang Studi Konstruksi tidak adapengutamaan. Setiap mahasiswa dapat menentukan sendiripengutamaannya secara bebas, dengan syarat jumlah totalsks matakuliah pengutamaannya yang harus diselesaikanminimum sebesar 12 sks. Bagi mahasiswa yang tidakmemenuhi syarat minimum pengambilan matakuliahpengutamaan berarti memilih Bidang Studi Disain TanpaPengutamaan, dengan jumlah total sks matakuliahpengutamaan dan pilihan yang harus diselesaikan sebesar12 sks.

2.1.3. Mata Kuliah Service LearningSetiap mahasiswa diwajibkan telah mengambil palingsedikit satu mata kuliah dengan metode pembelajaranmelalui kegiatan pelayanan kepada masyarakat (servicelearning) untuk yudisium sarjana. Salah satu mata kuliahservice learning ini adalah MK Community OutreachProgram (COP). Selain COP, Program Studi setiapsemester akan mengumumkan mata kuliah mana yangmemakai metode pengajaran service learning.

2.1.2. Major ClassesIn Design Concentration, there are four majors: Structure,Water, Transportation, and Geotechnical Engineering.There is no major class in Construction Concentration. Eachstudent can freely decide his or her major as long as theminimum total of credit hours of those majors is 12 credithours. Students who do not fulfill this minimumrequirement are assumed to choose Design Concentrationwith no major and have to take a total of 12 credit hours ofmajor and elective classes.

2.1.3. Service Learning CoursesEach student is required to pass at least one course withservice learning method. One course as service learningcourse offered is Community Outreach Program (COP).Besides COP, Field of Study will announce any servicelearning course offered every semester.

2.1.4. Pengambilan Skripsi1. Skripsi adalah studi mahasiswa secara mandiri dalam

menerapkan maupun mengembangkan mata kuliah yangdipelajari.

2. Skripsi dapat diambil oleh mahasiswa yang telahmemenuhi syarat pengambilan Skripsi.

3. Sebelum mengerjakan Skripsi mahasiswa wajibmengikuti sidang Proposal yang diadakan ProgramStudi. Sidang berhak menolak atau mengubah usulantersebut.

4. Pembuatan Skripsi memerlukan waktu antara 6 sampai12 bulan. Skripsi yang terlalu lama diterlantarkan ataumemperoleh nilai sangat kurang dalam Ujian Skripsi,dapat dinyatakan batal, dan mahasiswa yangbersangkutan harus membuat Skripsi yang baru.

2.1.5. Ujian Skripsi1. Ujian Skripsi merupakan evaluasi akhir secara

komprehensif/menyeluruh terhadap Skripsi dan semuamatakuliah yang berhubungan dengan Skripsi.

2. Mahasiswa yang diperbolehkan mengikuti ujian Skripsiadalah mahasiswa yang telah menyelesaikan Skripsiyang sudah ditandatangani oleh dosen pembimbing,dan telah menyelesaikan semua matakuliah sampaidengan semester VIII.

3. Ujian dilaksanakan secara lisan di hadapan tim pengujiyang terdiri dari 3 atau 4 orang dosen pembimbing danpenguji yang ditunjuk oleh Program Studi.

4. Sistem penilaian pada dasarnya merupakan penilaiandengan bobot tertentu dari penguasaan teori dasar,kepekaan dalam menarik kesimpulan, cara penyajianmasalah dan kemandirian (inisiatif sendiri untukmenambah /mengikuti perkembangan ilmu).

2.1.4. Thesis1. Thesis is an independent study of each student to

apply and develop the knowledge obtained fromclasses.

2. Students can start writing thesis when therequirements are fulfilled.

3. Prior to writing the thesis, students are supposed toattend Thesis Proposal examination organized by theCivil Engineering Department. The examinationcommittee has the right to approve, reject or revise theproposal.

4. Thesis is written in 6-12 months. Thesis neglected orreceiving very low mark in the thesis exam may becancelled, and the writers should propose a newthesis.

2.1.5. Thesis Examination1. Thesis Examination is a comprehensive final

evaluation of the thesis and all classes related to thethesis.

2. Students attending the exam are those who havefinished writing the thesis, been approved by thethesis advisor, and finished all required classes up tosemester VIII.

3. The exam is carried out orally in front of a team ofexaminers consisting of 3-4 advisors and examinersappointed by the Department.

4. The evaluation is based on the students’ mastery ofthe basic theories, sensitivity in drawing conclusions,methods of presenting the research problem andindependence (their self initiative to acquireknowledge)

2.2.1. Pembagian Mata KuliahKurikulum Program S1 Program Studi Teknik Sipil terdiridari tiga kelompok mata kuliah, yaitu kelompok matakuliah dasar umum, kelompok mata kuliah dasar keahlian,dan kelompok mata kuliah keahlian.

A. Mata Kuliah Dasar Umum (MKDU)Mata kuliah-mata kuliah ini bersifat melengkapi mahasiswadalam melaksanakan Tri-Dharma Perguruan Tinggi.

a. Kelompok Agama dan IdeologiMata kuliah-mata kuliah ini diberikan untuk membentuksarjana teknik sipil yang mengasihi Tuhan dan sesamamanusia, mencintai ilmu dan memiliki jiwa dedikasiterhadap profesinya serta mengabdi kepada masyarakat danbangsa.

Termasuk dalam kelompok ini: Etika Pendidikan Pancasila & Kewarganegaraan Fisafat Agama Etika Profesi

b. Kelompok BahasaMata kuliah-mata kuliah ini diberikan agar mahasiswamemiliki keterampilan bahasa Inggris dengan baik danbenar, berkaitan dengan bidang ilmunya.

Mata kuliah-mata kuliah ini diberikanagar mahasiswa dapat memakainya sebagai dasar bagikeahliannya secara umum maupun secara khusus sesuaidengan bidang studi/pengutamaannya.

a. Kelompok Sains Dasar

Kelompok ini merupakan mata kuliah dasar sehinggamahasiswa mampu merumuskan masalah-masalah dibidang teknik sipil ke dalam model matematis danmenyelesaikannya.

Merupakan dasar-dasar analisis pengaruh fluida padastruktur bangunan air.

Tujuan :Mampu memahami konsep dasar pengaruh gaya statis yangbekerja pada suatu struktur dan mampu menghitung gayadalam pada struktur statis tertentu sederhana akibat bebanstatis.

Materi : Struktur bangunan dan gayanya. Sistem gaya dan hukum keseimbangan. Idealisasi struktur dan kondisi batas. Idealisasi Pembebanan. Pengertian struktur kerangka (Skeleton Structures). Pengertian struktur statis tertentu & statis tak tentu. Gaya-gaya dalam / stress resultant (momen lentur,
