I. General Principles

Khazar University is the first private Uruversrty in the South Caucasus that started implementing

intemational education programs with English language as a medium of insfuction. Pursuant to its policy

and service commitrnents the University is proud to announce aKhazar University International

Scholarship Program for 2014-2015 (further referred as KUISP) extended to nationals of all counfies

without any limitation.

The guiding principles of the program are as follows.

- All foreign citizens are eligible for the Khazar University Scholarship Program firther referred to

as KUISP.

- KUISP is available for potential students of all four schools of the University.

- As the School of Education conducts its courses in the Azerbaijani language, the scholarships for

enrollment in that school are designated for applicants with suffrcient Azerbaijani-Turkish

language skills (native Azerbaijani speakers who are citizens of foreign counties; citizens ofTurkey and kan).

- Applicants to bachelor, master and PhD programs are eligible to apply for KUISP.

- Every year two scholarships, each covering the cost of the full tuition fee, will be awarded to

citizens of each coun0ry who apply toYthazar University programs.

- The scholarship is provided for one year subject to prolongation based on the academic

perfonnance of the grantee.

- The scholarship covers the cost of the tuition fee for the whole program term, but does not cover

living and ffavel expenses.

- Y'hazar University conducts evaluation and the selection of submitted applications via document

screening and skype interviews with shortlisted applicants. The details and the time frame of the

selection are specified in the KUISP time schedule (Section II below).

KUISP is implemented according to an annually developed and approved implementation plan.

The successfi.rl applicants should meet the following criteria

- Have good academic perforrrance records of the previous education stage (high school, bachelor

or mast€r programs)

- Good English skills: provide TOEFL, IELTS certificates. Holders of International Baccalaureate

degree certificates (from hrternational Baccalaureate Organizatiorq www.ibo.org), or diplomas

from a high school with Englistr as a major medirm of instruction do not need a language skilljustifi cation document.

5. Applications must be either sent by post, delivered in person or faxed to the Universitynot later than the deadline. Applications may also be turned in by email (along withscanned copies of all required documents), but then the applicant should follow up theemail by sending copies of all required documents by post.

Tuition

Ythazar University reserves the right to change the tuition fees from year to year. The annual

tuition fee for all programs is AZN 5000. The tuition does not include accommodation or

living expenses.

Before starting his/her studies ot Khazar Unh,ersity, an internationul student must pay atleost one year's tuitionfee.

,4fter paying the tuitionfee, in the cene tlrut the student decides to use Khuzar lJniversiry^' asa bridge to leavefor anotlter country or to changefor another unh'ersity, then the puidtuitionfee will not be refunded

ScholarshipKhazar Universily provides two scholarshipsfor students of every country(Khazar University International Scholarship Program: KUISP). Thescholarship covers the total amount of the tuitionfee for the whole program ofstudy at the Universily in either undergraduate or graduate studies.
