    Today Vocabulary The Vocabulary Its Meaning and Explanation

    Knock Noun: Ketukan, ketokan, pukulan Transitive Verb: Mengetuk, mengetuk, memukul

    Knock against Bertumbuk, kejeduk. Example: a. I knocked my head against the wall.

    (Kepala gue kejeduk ame tuh dinding) b. Wawan has just knocked his head against Adyks.

    (Kepala Wawan baru aja kejeduk ame kepala Adyk_[tuh rasain]) Knock at Mengetuk. Example:

    a. Ummam knocks at Tyas door every night. (Ummam mengetuk pintu rumah Tya setiap malam_[ngapain lu, Mam?])

    b. Retno is knocking at the door. (Retno sedang mengetuk pintu itu_[pake salam dong, Ret!])

    Knock out Merubuhkan, merobohkan. Example: a. Rizal knocked out his opponent within two minutes.

    (Rizal merobohkan lawannya dalam dua menit) b. Tri was knocking his cupboard out when I came.

    (Tri sedang ngerobohin lemarinya waktu gue dateng_[kurang kerjaan kale]) Knock off 1) Selesai [kerja] 2) Memberi potongan harga/diskon

    Example: a. Chris starts working at 8 oclock and knocks off at 4.00pm.

    (Chris mulai bekerja pada jam 8 dan selesai pada jam 16.00) b. The salesman whose name Dinar knocks 10% off the price of all the goods.

    (Salesman yang namanye Dinar itu memberi diskon 10% untuk semua barang_Jeez gue pikir barang die juga bakal die diskon kali ya? LOL. Kidding)

    (Gak nyangka gue dia pergi ke London kagak pamitan) b. I cant believe he could say like that to you.

    (Gak nyangka gue dia bisa ngomong gitu ame lu)
