To qualify for the O1 visa, there is a long list of possible evidence that can be presented to the U.S. embassy to prove your extraordinary ability. This evidence can be in the form of international awards, membership in prestigious organizations, or a high salary. To explore your eligibility as an extraordinary individual, the consular officer will take your interview and then finally approve your application. If you applying for the O1 visa from within the U.S., you need not go through the O1 visa interview. On the other hand, if you are applying for the o1 visa from outside the U.S, you will first have to fill DS-160 online and then schedule an interview to finally get your visa approved.
