    Gabungan dari himpunan A dan B atau dapat dinotasikan dengan A B adalah himpunan yang

    anggota-anggotanya merupakan anggota himpunan A atau anggota himpunan B.

    Misalkan diberikan himpunan A = {1,2,3,4,5} dan B = {3,4,5,6,7,8}

    Maka A B = {1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8}

    ::: IRISAN (INTERSECTION) :::

    Irisan dari himpunan A dan B atau dapat dinotasikan dengan A B adalah himpunan yang anggota-

    anggotanya merupakan anggota himpunan A dan juga sekaligus anggota himpunan B.

    Misalkan diberikan himpunan A = {1,2,3,4,5} dan B = {3,4,5,6,7,8}

    Maka A B = {3,4,5}

    ::: SELISIH HIMPUNAN :::

    Selisih dari himpunan A dan B atau dapat dinotasikan dengan A B adalah himpunan yang anggota-

    anggotanya merupakan anggota himpunan A yang tidak termasuk anggota himpunan B.

    Misalkan diberikan himpunan A = {1,2,3,4,5} dan B = {3,4,5,6,7,8}

    Maka AB = {1,2} dan BA ={6,7,8}

    ::: KOMPLEMEN :::

    Komplemen dari himpunan A atau dinotasikan dengan ACadalah himpunan semua anggota yang di

    luar A.

    Misalkan diberikan himpunan Semesta S = {1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8,9,10} dan himpunan A = {1,2,3,4,5},

    Maka AC= {6,7,8,9,10}
