How to use a dab rig.

users. Below is a step by step guide that will help you use a dab rig easily and efficiently

Heat the nail with the blow torch until it glows red. You should ensure any small particles

on the nail are burned off and the nail is as hot as possible.

For an electric dab rig, you turn on the battery and the E-nail will heat up. This type of

dab rig is more precise at the heating of the E-nail. They offer you the ability to select

specific temperatures.

Step 2.

Give your dab rig’s nail a couple of seconds to cool down. Although it seems counter-

intuitive, this step is very important when using a dab rig as it lets you not scorch your

dab.

The exact amount of time you need to let the nail cool down is dependent on its thickness

and type of material. Generally, this time ranges between 30 to 60 seconds.

The ideal temperature that the dab rig should cool down to should be between 300 to 450

degrees Fahrenheit, which correlates to 149 to 232 degrees celsius. You can accurately

determine whether the nail has reached this temperature range using an infrared (IR)

thermometer and a dab timer/ stopwatch.

If you are using an electric dab rig, there is no need to wait for the E-nail to cool down. It

will precisely heat to the temperature setting you will choose.

Step 3.

Using the dab tool, load the dab concentrate onto the nail surface carefully without

actually touching it. Then you start with long slow inhales as a majority of the dab

concentrate does not vaporize immediately.

Step 4.

If the dab rig has a carb cap place it on the nail or banger to get better vapor quality.

When you want to clear all the vapor out of the rig, you should remove the carb cap.
