Abu

Khalid

Abdul

Latif (aka

Joseph

Anthony

Davis)

and

Walli Mujahidh (akaFredrickAnthonyDomingue,Jr.)werearrestedastheyattempted

tobuyautomaticweaponsfromFBIundercoveragents. Theyintendedtousethe

gunstokillmilitary,security,andcivilianpersonnelatajointmilitaryentrance

processingstation(MEPS)inSeattle,Washington.

Thetwomen,whowereconvertstoIslam,werechargedwithconspiringtomurderofficersandemployeesoftheU.S.governmentusingweaponsofmass

destruction. Inaddition,theyhavebeenchargedwithunlawfulpossessionof

firearmsinfurtheranceofcriminalviolence.

Theplot

became

known

to

law

enforcement

on

May

30,

2011,

when

a third

man,

whoAbdulLatif

attemptedtorecruitintotheplot,informedpolice. Thatman

becameaconfidentialinformant(CI)fortheinvestigation.

Theconspiratorsareallegedtohavebeenplottingtheirattackforapproximately

twomonths

prior

to

their

arrest.

InJuly2011,inaseparateincident,anacquaintanceofAbdulLatifs,exconvictandconverttoIslam,MichaelMcCright,allegedlyattemptedtoforcetwoMarines

offtheInterstatehighway. McCrights

cellphonerecordsindicatethathehad

phonecontact

with

Abdul

Latif

at

least

three

times

prior

to

Abdul

Latifs

arrest.

Investigationisongoingtodetermineifthereisafurtherconnectionbetween

McCrights allegedattackattemptandAbdulLatifs terrorplot.

who

was

convicted

in

bothconvertedtoIslam. TheCIhadanextensivecriminalrecord,includingfive

felonyconvictionsandonemisdemeanorconviction.

theCIwasatAbdulLatifs

homefrequentlyandhadevenstayedthereforatwo

weekstretch. MoussaDavisalsoclaimedtothepressthattheCIhadstolenthousandsofdollarsfromherhusband. Walli

Inthematchmakingprofile,AbdulLatif

indicatedthathewasoriginallyfromSan

Diego,CA.

AbdulLatif

hadahistoryoffelonies. In2003,hewasconvictedofrobbinga7Eleven

inBremerton,Washington. Hestole$50outoftheregisterafterbrandishingtwotoy

gunsattheclerk.

Inamentalevaluationbeforehistrialforthe7Elevenrobbery,AbdulLatif

reportedly

saidthathehadtwicetriedtocommitsuicide.

In2003,hewaschargedwithCustodialAssaultforassaultingaciviliankitchensupervisoratWallaWallaStatePenitentiary. Aftertheassault,hewasplacedinthemaximumsecurityunit.

HeconvertedtoIslaminprisonwhileservinghis2yearsentenceforrobbery. DuringthatperiodhewasincarceratedatWashingtonStatePenitentiary

inWallaWallaand

wasthen

transferred

to

Stafford

Creek

Corrections

Center.

vehicle.

McCright

denied

involvement

in

the

incident,

butwasarrestedandchargedwithassaultinSeptember2011.

Todate,therehavebeennoreportsdirectlytyingthisincident

to

theSeattleMEPSplot,howeverMcCright

hadphonecontactwith

AbdulLatif

on

at

least

three

occasions,

according

to

McCrights

cellphonerecords. McCright

hasanextensivecriminalhistory,includingjuvenile

offenses.Hewasconvictedoffirstdegreerobberyin2006andan

assaultcharge

in

2005.

He

was

last

released

from

prison

in

November2009.

ThereisnoreportingonwhereMcCright

convertedtoIslam.

However,hewasincarceratedinWalla,Wallastatepenitentiary,

whereAbdulLatif is

reported

to

have

converted

to

Islam.
