    KATA PENGANTAR

    Dengan kemajuan teknologi pada dekade 1970 - 1980, ada bebe-rapa profil baja yang ternyata tidak efisien lagi, dan tidak digunakanlagi. Profil lama itu mencakup profil lnormal dan Profil lDlE/DlL/DlN, dan sebagai gantinya telah diproduksi profil baja yang ekonomisyaitu bentuk l- WF (Wide Flange) dan "Structural Tees". Karena itukami berusaha menyusun "Tabel Profil Konstruksi Baja" yang men-cantumkan profil baru tersebut. Selain itu juga kami lengkapi dengan"Engineering Conversion Factors" dan beberapa tabel lain. Kami

    harap buku ini dapat berguna bagipara

    teknisi bangunan dan maha-siswa teknik, baik sipil maupun arsitektur.

    Buku ini kami susun berdasarkan buku Steel Design Manual,American lnstitute of Steel Counstruction {AISC), New York, 1983dan Japan Steel Design Handbook, Tokyo, 1981, serta tabel-tabel dandiktat-diktat kuliah pada Fakultas Teknik Sipil, Universitas GadjahMada, antara 1973 - 1980.
