• The engines have an efficient cooling system with cooling channels that minimize warm-up time for the engine, transmission and hydraulics at start-up.

• When the machine reaches operating temperature, the cooling system changes over and works normally.

• To improve cooling on the F-series machines, the fan draws air from the rear and blows air through the sides.

Load-sensing hydraulics• Volvo’s machines are

equipped with a load-sensing hydraulic system.

• The pumps are axial piston pumps with variable flow, giving short cycle times and faster lift and tilt functions.

• The load-sensing system and steering system are well incorporated in the working hydraulic system, but the steering system has priority for the highest level of safety.

Ease of Operation

New dump lever has 3 positions.Pull lever backwards for DUMPING.”Body Up” indicator shows on the Contronic panel when the body no longer rests on the frame.It increases operator’s awareness and safety throughout the shift.

Maximum dump angle can be set (adjusted), using Contronic system. This function is to be used for limiting maximum machine height, e.g. when operating under electrical wires, in tunnels, underground, etc.

Push lever forward for LOWERING.If pushed to its far end, the magnet holds the lever for Detent Lowering, until the body is down.When down, the body automatically goes to float position and smoothly lowers to the frame, eliminating the stress on the tipping cylinders.

From both ends, there is a spring-return function to the middle position ”Hold”. When the dump lever is in “Hold”, the body stays still in its current position.
