IELTS Report, topic: Line graph describing the consumption of

    fish and meat

The graph illustrates the quantities of fish and

different kinds of meats consumed in a European country

between the time period of 1979 and 2004. Over this span of

25 years, the consumption of beef, lamb and fish have all

decreased while the consumption of chicken has dramatically

    risen.

The biggest consumption in 1979 was beef (about220 grams per person was consumed every week) while the

lowest consumption in 1979 was fish (around 60 gram per week

was consumed by a person). The amount of fish which was

eaten has remained almost constant at about 50 grams from

1979 and 2004. The trends of beef and lamb consumption were

similar, with decreases in amount in between the years. While

beef consumption had declined from over 200 grams per

person per week to around 100 grams during 25 years, lambs

was starting 150 grams to approximately 50 grams at the same

    period.

In contrast, chicken consumption had grown up

gradually to year of 194, reaching a peak at 250grams per

person every week in between 1994 and 2004.

Nigella sativa (Black Seed) as a potent herbal medicine

Nigella sativa is a herbal plant which belongs to

Ranunculaceae family. It is also known as black cumin or

habatus sauda, and has a rich historical and religious

background. It is found in the southern region of Asia. It can

grow up to 30 cm and produces pale blue flowers. The fruit is

composed of follicles which contain the seeds, the most

valuable part of the plant. The seeds of Nigella sativa (NS),

which have a pungent bitter taste, are used in confectionery

and liquors. The seed is the source of the active ingredients of

this plant and has been used in Islamic medicine for its healingpowers.

Nigella sativa seeds (NS) has been used traditionally

for various illnesses. Studies have revealed various therapeutic

values of NS such as anticancer, antioxidant, antibacterial,

antifungal, antiparasitic and antiasthmatic. NS may also inhibit

renal calculi and improve poultry quality. NS contains 3638%

fixed oils, proteins, alkaloids, saponin, and 0.42.5% essential

oil. High-performance liquid chromatography (HPLC) analysis of

NS essential oil revealed that the main active ingredients were

    thymoquinone, dithymoquinone, thymohydroquinone, and

thymol. Among the compounds identified, thymoquinone (TQ)

is the most abundant, which makes up 3048% of the total

compounds. This quinine constituent is the most potent and

pharmacologically active compound in NS. There were several

studies showing that NS and TQ have beneficial effects on bone

    and joint diseases.

NS or TQ has shown potential as a safe and effective

    anticancer, antioxidant, antibacterial, antifungal, antiparasitic

and antiasthmatic agent. NS was found to be effective as an

add-on therapy in patients of various diseases.

    Online classes versus conventional classes

Online classes are a fantastic possibility for thosewho cannot travel to college. In addition, online classes are

wonderful for people with disabilities ro diseases such as

dyslexia. It's also a good option for women with children that

can't spend a lot of time traveling and being in a traditional

class. Even though people connecting to a computer can't know

other students' ideas ro share their ideas,at least they can

contact their professor and ask questions. Also they have the

benefit of stopping and rewining the lecture when they do not

understand something. For example, my friend Gisselle was

taking an online class, and she didn't understand a concept, so

she stopped the lesson, took a break and then sit down again. It

was how she could get it. Online classes can be awesome, but

traditional classes also have their good points.

Many colleges and universities have a campus. If for

some reason the students can't travel every day to the college,

they have the choice of staying on the campus for a while and

not spending money on gasoline. Even though campuses are a

little expensive, it's a good option for young people that do not

have a lot of responsibilities with family or jobs. Furthermore,

in a conventional class people cna share their thought, get

ideas from other students and be actively involved in the class.

In a face-to-face class students have special attention from the

instructor. For instance, when I started ESLW-04 in September,

the first thing I did was telling the professor my weakness in

that material and that I needed special help with it. So she

    helped me, and I improved.

To conclude, although online classes and traditional

classes have a lot of differences, they have something in

common. Both of them are for peoplel that really want to

study, want to have a better future and are focus on their goals.

Being a good student is not easy, but it is the beginning forthose who want a wonderful proffesional.
