1.What is immediate denture?

- A complete denture or removable partial denture

fabricated for placement immediately after the

removal of natural teeth

- A denture is made to advance before the

extraction of teeth and insert after extraction.

2. Indication and contra indication?

Indication :

- Anterior teeth with severe caries

- Teeth with the periodontal disease

- Discoloritation teeth is caused by intrinsic andextrinsic

- Malposition teeth

- The anterior and posterior missing teeth

Contraindication- Acute periodontal or periapical abcess

- There are a dental cyst

- Poor OH

- Patient not cooperative

- Patient with systemic disease, ex : DM, heartdisease

- Crooked root, which is too difficult to be extracted

- Patient with neck and head radiotherapy

- Patient with severe bone lost

- Easier to duplicate like a natural teeth

Disadvantage :

- Expensive

- Need relining to make new denture
