TIPS PERAWATAN

Berikut ini, saya sampaikan tips merawat jam tangan bagi Anda pemakai atau pengkoleksi

jam tangan :

Usahakan jam tangan dalam keadaan selalu kering. Walaupun telah memiliki teknologi

water proof dan stainless stell. Jam tangan yang terkena air yang terus menerus, akan

memiliki efek merusak. Bahkan mampu menimbulkan karat.

Jangan dipergunakan pada saat melakukan aktifitas berat. Hal ini merupakan bentuk

pencegahan terhadap resiko paparan sinar matahari/panas, goncangan, cairan kimia

maupun kerusakan mekanis.

Untuk membersihkannya, pergunakan sabun lunak yang tidak reaktif, konsentrasi

rendah dan dengan jumlah seminimal mungkin. Khusus bahan kulit, kristal atau berlian

cukup gunakan kain kering dan bersih.

Cara Penggunaan dan Perawatan Jam Tangan Automatic / Kinetik

Ada 2 tipe umum jam automatic, yaitu automatic dengan chrono (jam kecil) dan

automatic polos. Jam automatic polos, penggunaannya tidaklah rumit. Tidak ada yang perlu di-

setting kecuali setting jam itu sendiri. Bagaimana dengan jam automatic dengan chrono?

Berikut tips penggunaan dan setting jam automatic dengan chrono :

Normalnya, terdapat 3 tombol untuk jam tangan automatic dengan chrono. Kanan atas,

tengah kanan, dan kanan bawah.

Kanan atas dipergunakan untuk mengatur chrono (jam kecil) sebelah kanan.

Kanan bawah dipergunakan untuk mengatur chrono (jam kecil) sebelah kiri

Chrono (jam kecil) tengah bawah, bergerak sesuai dengan pergerakan jam utama. Lebih

tepatnya, untuk mengatur am/pm atau penunjuk siang/malam.

Tombol tengah sebelah kanan adalah tombol utama untuk mengubah setting jam utama.

Ada 2 macam, ada yang langsung ditarik dan ada yang harus diputar terlebih dulu ke

arah bawah (sistem baut) seperti Rolex Daytona, baru setelah itu ditarik.

Cara setting jam utama biasanya seperti layaknya jam tangan biasa, ditarik dan diputar.

Perbedaannya, jam automatic, diusahakan untuk selalu memutar jam searah jarum jam.

Mengapa? Karena sistem jam tangan automatic bersinkronisasi satu dan lainnya. Jadi,

sangat sensitif.

Biasakan untuk men-setting waktu utama searah jarum jam, dengan begitu mesin

automatic akan lebih awet dan prima sepanjang waktu.

Jam tangan saya suka mati-mati? Of course! Jam tangan automatic akan mati jika tidak

dipakai atau tidak di-charge. Jadi, pengguna jam automatic harus rajin untuk men-

charge dengan cara sbb:

1. Gunakan tombol tengah (tombol kanan tengah).

2. Putar ke arah atas sebanyak minimal 5 kali (lebih banyak lebih bagus).

3. Untuk jam tangan seperti Rolex Daytona (sistem baut) harus diputar ke bawah

dulu, lalu diputar ke atas sebanyak minimal 5 kali atau lebih. Jangan ditarik

tombol tengahnya! Jadi posisinya, pada saat diputar ke atas, posisi jarum jam

utama sama sekali tidak ikut bergerak.

4. Cara kita mengetahui posisis di-charge, jam automatic punya bunyi khas. Akan

mengeluarkan suara "krek". Hal itu bisa kita ketahui jika diposisi mulai men-

charge benar.

Jika chrono-nya ditekan dan tidak mau bergerak bagaimana?

1. Tarik tuas tengah kanan ke posisi setting jam utama (tarik paling ujung).

2. Lalu setting jam utama searah jarum jam selama 24 jam kedepan.

3. Setelah itu coba tekan lagi tombolnya, pasti akan gerak lagi.

Biasanya terdapat dua tombol sebelah kanan ‘atas (A)’ dan ‘bawah (B)’.

Tekan tombol A hingga digitalnya muncul.

Setelah itu, tekan tombol B sekitar 2 detik hingga digitalnya berkedip.

Tekan A untuk setting waktu.

Tekan B untuk pindah setting misalnya jadi ‘jam’ ke ‘menit’, dari ‘menit’ ke ‘tanggal’ dan

seterusnya.

Setelah selesai meng-setting, diamkan saja hingga lampu digital mati.
