Beasiswa Australia: Law International LLM Scholarship

University of Technology, Sydney (UTS): Law International LLM Scholarship

The Faculty of Law offers two scholarships in each academic year for ³New International

Candidates´ in the Master of Laws (LLM) by Coursework.

One scholarship will be awarded in each of Autumn Semester and Spring Semester each year toa new LLM international student.

The scholarship will be by way of reduction of tuition fees for the semester of the award.

Scholarships will be awarded solely on the basis of academic merit*.

Eligibility

Candidates must:

* have applied for admission to the UTS Master of Laws by Coursework (LLM) award, coursecode C04143;* be categorised by UTS as an international student (neither an Australian citizen nor a permanent resident of Australia); and* have reached a level of achievement across all subjects in the undergraduate legal qualificationused as a basis for admission to the LLM which is equivalent to an academic achievement of Distinction average (75%) at UTS

Selection criteria

Academic Merit. The scholarship will be awarded to the applicant who is the highest achiever.

Beasiswa: Hungarian Government Scholarships 2010-2011 for International

Students

Call for applications for foreigners for Hungarian state scholarshipsThrough the Hungarian Scholarship Board Office, the Hungarian Minister of Education andCulture offers scholarships for foreign students and professors of higher education institutions aswell as research fellows who intend to gain further professional experience in Hungarianinstitutions of higher education or research. Scholarships can be applied for under two systems:



applications directly to HSB, in the pool system, in case the bilateral agreement does not allowfor a specific type of scholarship listed in the pool programme.

Applicants are exempt who gained admission to a tuition-free program at an institution of higher education (state-financed university, full-time program), where the working language is different

from Hungarian.

The following scholarships are available in the Academic Year 2010/2011:

A. ± semester/partial studies (3-10 months)

Can be applied for by: undergraduate (BA/BSc) and graduate (MA/MSc) students, especiallythose majoring in Hungarian Language and Literature, as well as graduating students working ontheir theses, and students enrolled in Äsingle track´ university programmes (such as GeneralMedicine, Dentistry, Pharmacology, Veterinary Studies, Architecture and Jurisprudence). Beforeapplication, students are required to have completed minimum two semesters at their home

institutions. For Type A scholarship, an applicant may submit an application only on oneoccasion during his/her BA studies, and on another occasion during his/her MA studies.

B. ± postgraduate studies, research (3-21 days or 1-10 months)

Can be applied for by: applicants holding a Master¶s degree or an equivalent university degree,including PhD students who intend to do research for their dissertation, yet wish to stay inHungary for less than 12 months. (However, PhD students cannot acquire credits at their hostuniversities.)

C/1. ± full PhD programme (36 months)

Only students proficient in Hungarian can apply, the scholarship is conditional upon successfulentrance exam / admission to the respective doctoral school.

C/2. ± partial PhD studies (12 months)

Applicants must be enrolled in a PhD programme at an accredited institution of higher educationin his/her home country or in a foreign country (but not in Hungary).

D. ± postdoctoral studies, research (1-10 months)

Applicants must have a PhD or an equivalent degree.

E. ± research stay (3-21 days or 1-10 months)

For associate or higher ranking professors or for researchers holding minimum a PhD or anequivalent degree.

F. ± summer courses in the summer of 2010 (1-4 weeks)



Courses must be chosen only from the list of Summer Courses 2010 published on the HSBwebsite.

GENERAL PROVISIONS

These scholarships allow for study or research in any field of arts and sciences during the granted period at an accredited Hungarian higher education or research institution to be determined inadvance.

Semester, partial, postgraduate studies and doctoral programmes must be carried out in state-financed institutions where no tuition fee is required. For Type A scholarship, an applicant maysubmit an application only on one occasion during his/her BA studies, and on another occasionduring his/her MA studies.

Type A (semester /partial studies) and type C1/C2 (full PhD and partial PhD studies)

scholarships may not be extended. Type B (postgraduate studies), D (postdoctoral studies,research), and E (research stay) scholarships may be extended exceptionally, only under specialcircumstances, on one occasion. The scholarships are valid only for studies and research purposes in Hungary. HSB scholarships can only be used for conducting studies or research inHungary, which means that scholarship-holders must stay in Hungary during the whole period of their studies or research.

The scholarships are awarded for the summer of 2010, or the academic year of 2010-2011, andthese latter ones must be finished by 30 June 2011 at the latest.

CASES OF NON-ELIGIBILITY

* Foreign citizens with a residence permit or in the course of applying for a residence permit inHungary cannot apply.* Men and women, who have an employment contract or employment relationship as defined bythe law in Hungary cannot apply* Students applying for part-time or correspondence study programmes cannot apply.* Students applying for non state-financed universities cannot apply.* Students admitted to tuition fee-paying institutions of higher education cannot apply.

Heinrich Böll Foundation Bachelor, Master and PhD Scholarships for International Students,Germany

The Heinrich Böll Foundation awards scholarships to German and foreign students in keepingwith the guidelines provided by the German Federal Ministry of Education and Research(BMBF) and the Federal Foreign Office (AA). The scholarship covers Bachelors, Masters, andPhD studies.

Host Institution(s):State or state-recognized institution of higher education (university, college or equivalent) inGermany, Switzerland or in a member state of the EU.

Fields of study:Selected priority fields of study. In addition to their current focus on Humanities and Social

Science as well as Fine Arts and Cultural Studies, the Foundation, in the future, be extendingtheir scholarship to as yet under-represented specialist subjects such as Economics, Law,Engineering, Media Science and Natural Science.

Target group:International students and Germans. The foundation especially supports young people fromcountries in the South as well as from Eastern Europe. The foundation also especially supportsyoung women in those subjects where, to date, they have been under-represented.

Eligibility:The following general requirements apply to foreign applicants (except EU citizens) who wish tostudy in Germany:1. You must be enrolled at a state-recognized university or college (e.g. Fachhochschule) inGermany at the time the scholarship payments begin.2. You should provide proof that you have already graduated with an initial professionalqualification. This programme mainly supports students aiming for a Masters degree.3. You need a good knowledge of German, and we kindly ask you to provide proof of your proficiency. Please note that the selection workshop (interviews, group discussions) willnormally be in German. Exceptions (interview in English) are, however, possible.

4. Unfortunately, the current guidelines specify that we can not support foreign scholarshipholders for stays abroad in third countries for more than four weeks.

The following requirements apply to all German and non-German students wishing to pursue aMasters degree or postgraduate studies:1. You should definitely apply for a scholarship before the start of your studies, in order toensure long-term support and cooperation.2. The Heinrich Böll Foundation cannot award you a scholarship, if you are studying for a one-



year Masters degree and were not previously supported by the foundation.3. Tuition fees for fee-paying courses in Germany cannot be financed by the Heinrich BöllFoundation.

The following requirements apply to PhD-students from outside the EU:

Applicants must hold a Master`s degree or equivalent and must have been accepted as a doctoralstudent by a German institution of higher education.
