Puji syukur kami panjatkan ke khadirat Allah SWT atas rahmat dan

hidayat-Nya, publikasi Garut Dalam Angka Tahun 2012 dapat diselesaikan sesuai

dengan rencana. Publikasi ini menginformasikan berbagai data sekunder dari

dinas/instansi Pemerintah maupun Swasta di Kabupaten Garut dan data primer

hasil sensus dan survei yang dilakukan oleh BPS Kabupaten Garut.

Publikasi Garut Dalam Angka Tahun 2012, ini merupakan Publikasi rutin

tahunan yang diterbitkan oleh Badan Pusat Statistik (BPS) Kabupaten Garut.

Daerah sebelah Utara, Timur dan

Barat secara umum merupakan daerah

dataran tinggi dengan kondisi alam

berbukit-bukit dan pegunungan,

sedangkan kondisi alam daerah sebelah

Selatan, sebagian besar permukaan

tanahnya memiliki kemiringan yang

relatif cukup curam. Corak alam di

daerah sebelah Selatan ini diwarnai oleh

iklim Samudra Indonesia dengan

segenap potensi alam dan keindahan

pantainya.

cukup tinggi, hari hujan yang banyak

dan lahan yang subur serta ditunjang

yang bermuara ke pantai selatan
