Cara Menghitung dan Menganalisa Perfomansi Peralatan Utama CPP EEES
Peralatan utama yang banyak mengkonsumsi energi pada CPP EEES ini terbagi menjadi
beberapa jenis, yaitu: Heat exchanger, Cooler, Hot oil heater, Pump, dan Compressor. Pada bab ini
akan dibahas mengenai fungsi masing-masing peralatan dan cara menganalisa perfomansi dari
masing-masing peralatan tersebut.
1. Heat Exchanger
Functions : to transfer heat from high temperature to low temperature of fluid.
Key Performance Indicator :
- Overall heat transfer coefficient (U) Btu/hr.ft2.0F
- Heat duty (Q) Btu/hr
Variable should be Measured :
- Fluid flowrate lb/hr or GPM
- Temperature inlet and outlet of hot side and cold side 0F
- Operating Pressure of hot side and cold side Psia
- Area heat medium tube side (A) ft2
- Spesific heat transfer (Cp) Btu/lb.0F
- Composition of fluid
2. Air Cooler
Functions : to cooling the fluid or to condense the vapor.
Key Performance Indicator :
- Overall heat transfer coefficient (U) Btu/hr.ft2.0F
- Heat duty (Q) Btu/hr
Variable should be Measured :
- Electricity power input kW
- Liquid flow lb/hr or GPM
- Temperature of fluid inlet and outlet 0F
- Temperature of air inlet and outlet 0F
- Pressure of fluid inlet and outlet Psia
- Area heat medium tube side (A) ft2
- Spesific heat transfer (Cp) Btu/lb.0F
- Composition of fluid
3. Pump
Functions : to transfer or to lift up the liquid.
Key Performance Indicator :
- Efficiency which consist of pump efficiency and motor efficiency
Variable should be Measured :
- Electricity power input kW
- Liquid flow GPM
- Suction and discharge pressure Psia
- Spesific grafity of fluid lb/ft3
4. Air Compressor
Function : converting energy from electricity to compress air
Key Performance Indicator :
Actual power / Qs x ((Pd/Ps)^0.2857 – 1)
Variable should be Measured :
- Electricity power input kW
- Pressure of compressed air (suction and discharge) Psia
- Air flow (cubic feet per minute) cfm
- Operating temperature of air compressor 0F
5. Hot Oil Heater
Function : converting energy from fuel gas into thermal in order to increase the temperature of process fluid (hot oil).
Key Performance Indicator :
Efficiency which is consist of combustion efficiency and heat transfer efficiency
Variable should be Measured :
Combustion Efficiency :
