I. Fungsi
Minilink berfungsi sebagai perangkat untukmenghubungkan BSC (Base Station Controller) ke BTS (Base Transceiver Station) ataupun menghubungkanBTS to BTS melalui interface udara.

III. Kapasitas
Kapasitas HOP mini link dapat dilihat dari jumlah
system/port/E1 di masing-masing block DDF. Pada
umumnya mini link berkapasitas
- 4 E1
- 8 E1
- 16 E1
- 32 E1

IV. System proteksi
a. Konfigurasi 1+0
Perangkat yang diperlukan antara lain :
- 1 unit MMU
- 1 unit RAU
- 1 unit SMU (optional)
Konfigurasi ini tidak memiliki sistem pengaman,
karena hanya terdiri 1 unit RAU dan MMU.
Jika ada faulty di salah satu perangkat tersebut
maka transmisi akan down.

b. Konfigurasi 1+1 HOT
Perangkat yang diperlukan antara lain :
- 2 unit MMU
- 2 unit RAU
- 1 unit SMU
Konfigurasi ini memiliki sistem pengaman, salah satu
sistem akan berfungsi sebagai backup. Jika satu
sistem ada kerusakan maka SMU secara otomatis
akan memerintahkan sistem backup untuk bekerja.
Transmisi akan down jika terjadi faulty pada unit
SMU.

Commissioning mini link dilakukan pada saat instalasi Hop
baru atau pada saat melakukan replacement modul MMU,
SMU atau SAU. Yang harus dilakukan sebelum melakukan
commissioning adalah menyiapkan “Data Field” Hop tersebut.
Jika commissioning dilakukan untuk Hop baru, data tersebut
diperoleh dari “User”.
Lain halnya jika kita melakukan penggantian modul, data
tersebut dapat dilihat dan di “Capture” dari perangkat existing

Manager.
- Kabel USB to Serial/Kabel DB9 dan driver installer
- Tools (Standart : Drei, Tie Rope, etc)

II. Menghubungkan Laptop Ke MMU

Setting port (USB COM) di menu device manager laptop ke
COM1, diikuti setting COM1 di software M.S.M dengan cara
Memilih “Tab Menu Option” short “Communication”
kemudian tentukan pilihan di COM1 dan “Save”. Pasang kabel
ke port O&M dan port USB di laptop.

b. Login Software MSMSetelah perangkat terhubung dengan laptop, login ke software
M.S.M dengan password “1111”

Setelah terhubung ke software maka akan keluar tampilan
utama M.S.M, kemudian pilih “Tab Menu Network” short
“Scan Local” untuk menampilkan Hop ID.
