    1.0 DESIGN REQUIREMENTS

    General

    1.1 The steam generator shall be designed for S!C" #a$a#it% s$e#ified in&ata sheet ' A1 and for b(rning 100) #oal. The *idder shall offer dr(mt%$e steam generator of $ro+en design.

    1., The steam generator and its a(iliaries shall be designed for o(tdoor installation.

    1. The steam generator (nit shall be #a$able of o$erating either on #onstant$ress(re or sliding $ress(re mode. The load range for the sliding $ress(re(nit o$eration /o(ld be from 0) steam generator maim(m #ontin(o(srating S!C" to 100) T!C".

    1.4 The steam generator shall be designed to meet the 2ndian *oiler "eg(lations 2*" re3(irement. here+er 2*" is not s$e#ifi# abo(t materialdesign man(fa#t(re ins$e#tion and testing re3(irements AS!E #ode shallbe (sed.

    Steam Generator Struture

    1.5 The steam generator str(#t(re shall be designed to s($$ort all loadslo#ated on the str(#t(re. 2n addition other loadings ma% be introd(#ed onthe str(#t(re from $i$ing en#los(res ad6a#ent str(#t(res and e3(i$ment.

    1. The f(rna#e shall be designed s(#h that the heat release rates shall note#eed the +al(es s$e#ified in &ata Sheet-A1 at 100) steam generator maim(m #ontin(o(s rating S!C" #ondition. The distan#e bet/een#entre line of bottom most #oal b(rner and f(rna#e ho$$er /oring $ointshall be not less than metres. The #onfig(ration of the f(rna#e shall bes(#h that flame im$ingement on an% se#tion of the f(rna#e is a+oided o+er the entire load range.

    1.7 The f(rna#e shall ha+e ho$$er bottom /ith stainless steel seal $latess(itable for #onne#tion to a /ater im$o(nded ash ho$$er. A s(itable sealingarrangement for #onne#ting to a /ater im$o(nded ash ho$$er shall also be$ro+ided. The #lear /idth of the ho$$er throat shall not be less than1100mm. The distan#e bet/een f(rna#e o$ening and the grade le+el shallbe 7.5 m.
