    KATA PENGANTAR

    Kurikulum 2013 di SMALB mulai diterapkan pada

    tahun ajaran 2014/ 2015. Sehubungan dengan hal tersebut,Dit. Pendidikan Khusus dan Layanan Khusus (Dit. PPKLK)

    Direktorat Jenderal Pendidikan Menengah sudah

    menyiapkan seperangkat standar Kompetensi Lulusan,

    Kompetensi Inti, Kompetensi Dasar kurikulum SMALB 2013,

    dan seperangkat bahan ajar siswa dan buku guru untuk 5

    mata pelajaran (Matematika, PPKN, Bahasa Indonesia,

    Bahasa Inggris, Seni Budaya) dengan 3 jenis ketunaan:

    tunanetra, tunarungu, dan tunadaksa serta 3 tema untuk 4 jenis ketunaan: tunadaksa sedang, tunagrahita ringan,

    tunagrahita sedang, dan Autis. Keberhasilan peningkatan

    kompetensi ini sangat bergantung pada keyakinan,

    kemauan, dan kerja keras siswa selama mengikuti kegiatan

    pembelajaran dan mempelajari bahan ajar yang tersedia ini.

    Kegiatan pembelajaran dalam buku ini menerapkan

    pendekatan saintifik yang memungkinkan Siswa tidak

    hanya mengembangkan ranah kognitif (pengetahuan) tetapi juga mengembangkan ranah afektif (sikap) dan ranah

    psikomotor (keterampilan) sehingga siswa dapat

    mengembangkan diri secara utuh menjadi individu kreatif,

    inovatif, produktif dan berkarakter. Selain itu, penilaian

    dalam buku ini diarahkan pada penilaian otentik untuk

    mengetahui sejauh mana ketiga ranah itu dapat

    dikembangkan siswa dan penilaian dapat dilakukan kapan

    saja sesuai keperluan. Penilaiannya dapat dilakukan baikoleh guru atau oleh siswa sendiri melalui program penilaian

    diri.

    Semua ahli pendidikan sepakat bahwa semua siswa

    termasuk siswa SMALB punya potensi. Artinya, tidak ada

    satupun siswa yang tidak mampu mencapai kompetensi

    dasar yang sudah ditetapkan dalam kurikulum. Ketika

    siswa belum mencapai kompetensi biasanya lebih banyak

    disebabkan karena ketidakyakinan siswa dengan potensi

    dirinya selain karena kekurangan waktu belajar dan

     beberapa individu berprestasi ternyata berasal darikelompok siswa yang memiliki kebutuhan khusus.

    Melalui kurikulum SMALB 2013 ini, semua siswa bisa

    menjadi orang hebat asalkan siswa itu memiliki kemauankeras dan selalu berupaya untuk belajar terus dan

    menghasilkan karya terbaik. Buku ini memuat banyak

    kegiatan pembelajaran variatif yang mendorong siswa

    melakukan kegiatan kreatif dan inovatif. Karena itu, bacalah

     buku ini secara teliti dan penuh semangat. Lakukanlah

    semua kegiatan yang disarankan dalam buku ini. Siswa

    tidak perlu merasa takut salah dan gagal selama

    Hernani. People call her Mrs Atika. She is a teacher. She

    teaches at a secondary school. She has been a teacher in that

    My mother is a diligent person. She gets up at four every

    My mother is never late for school. She is always punctual.

    Irregular verbs

    Besides regular verbs, we have irregular verbs. We don’t add

     – ed to the verbs. We must remember the past form of these

     verbs.

    For examples:

    Buy – bought

    Eat - ate

    Go – went

    Have – had

     Write – wrote

    Do – did

    Drink - drank

     The negative form of past tense

     We use did not (didn’t) in past simple negatives. And after

    didn’t we always use infinitive.

     because the tree was so high. When my brother began to

    come down, a branch broke. He couldn’t move up or down. I

     went inside the house and asked dad to help my brother.

     Then, he borrowed a ladder from our neighbor and helped

    my brother down. As soon as my father left, the cat climbed

    the tree again.

     This time we didn’t try to help it.
