6.2 Sistem Instrumentasi VCM-1

Instrumentasi yang dipasang pada unit pemroses bergantuk pada tujuan

penggunaan dan objek yang dikendalikan Instrumen-instrumen yang dipasang pada unit

pemroses PT. ASC adalah :

1. Level indicator controller (LIC) pelampung dan lengan gaya

2. Temperature indicator controller (TIC) termokopel dan temperatur

3. Pressure indicator controller (PIC) pressure gauge dan electric strain

gauge

4. Flow indicator controller (FIC) venturimeter, orificemeter, rotameter

5. Analyzer indicator controller (AIC) mengukur konsentrasi cairan dengan

bantuan SG meter

Instrument digunakan untuk mengukur gangguan (disturbance), variabel output

terkontrol dan variabel output sekunder. Instrument merupakan sumber utama informasi

mengenai apa yang terjadi did alma proses. Sedangkan sistem instrumentasi meliputi

pengukuran, penampilan, pengontrolan dan perekaman data dari variabel-variabel yang

terlibat dalam proses. Prinsip operasi alat ukut sensor adalah mampu mentransmisikan

nilai dari variabel yang diukur menjadi nilai variable lain yang dapat terbaca.

Instrumentasi yang digunakan pada PT ASC anatar lain alat ukur (sensor) dan

penampilan (indicator), pengontrol (controller), pemberitahuan (alarm) dan perekaman

(recorder). Variabel-variabel yang diukur adalah tekanan, teperatur, laju alir,

konsentrasi dan ketinggian permukaan cairan.
