dipilih.• Menghindarkan terjadinya duplikasi topik
penelitian.

Manfaat Penyusunan Tinjauan Pustaka:• Dapat mengetahui sejauh mana perkem-

Sumber Kepustakaan:• Jurnal.• Buku Teks (Text Book).• Koran/Majalah.• Internet.• Laporan Penelitian.• Monograf.

• State of The Art Review suatu tinjauan yang mendalam tentang topik tertentu yang relatif masih baru.
• Mengutamakan sumber primer (jurnal) dan up to date ( 10 tahun).

The floral characteristics of S. formosa are those typical of a legume flower. Anther dehiscence occurred before the flower was opened and the stigma was receptive one day before anther dehiscence. This supports the reports of previous authors (Kirby 1996; Williams 1996) that S. formosa was fully self-pollinated. However, self-pollination was often hampered by the presence of the stigmatic cuticle (Jusaitis 1994) that prevented pollen grain germination until the stigmatic cuticle was ruptured. The development of the stigmatic cuticle was also reported in Phaseolus vulgaris (Lord & Webster 1979) and Trifolium pratense (Heslop-Harrison & Heslop-Harrison 1983).

Using Bixa arellana, Sha-Valli-Khan et al. [1] demonstrated that the combination of NAA and BAP produced white, friable callus with glossy surface, which later developed into white compact callus, and finally regenerated green globular structures. The formation of this green globular structures was the initial sign of somatic embryogenesis as reported by Sudhersan and Abo-El Nil [2] and Zulkarnain [3] on the in vitro culture of Swainsona formosa. White and compact embryogenic callus were also reported by Tang et al. [4] on Pinus taeda, and by Fulzele and Satdive [5] on Nothapodytes foetida.
