Divisions of the Skeletal System
The human skeleton consists of 206 named bones
Bones of the skeleton are grouped into two principal
divisions:
Axial skeleton
Consists of the bones that lie around the longitudinal axis of
the human body
Skull bones, auditory ossicles (ear bones), hyoid bone, ribs,
sternum (breastbone), and bones of the vertebral column
Appendicular skeleton
Consists of the bones of the upper and lower limbs
(extremities), plus the bones forming the girdles that
connect the limbs to the axial skeleton

Humerus - Surface Features
The head of the humerus has two
unequal-sized projections
The greater tubercle lies more laterally
The lesser tubercle lies more anteriorly
Between the tubercles lies the
intertubercular groove or sulcus (bicipital
groove) where the long head of the biceps
brachii tendon is located
-
Humerus - Surface Features
Just distal to the head is the anatomical neck
The surgical neck is where the tubular shaft begins
and is a common area of fracture
About mid-shaft on the lateral aspect is a roughened
area, the deltoid tuberosity where the deltoid tendon
attaches
Capitulum - a round knob-like process on the lateral
distal humerus
Trochlea - medial to the capitulum, is a spool-
shaped projection on the distal humerus

Skeleton of the Forearm - Ulna
The longer of the two forearm bones
Located medial to the radius
Olecranon - the large, prominent proximal end, the tip of your elbow
Coronoid process - the anterior lip of the proximal ulna
Trochlear notch - the deep fossa that receives the trochlea of the humerus during elbow flexion
Styloid process - the thin cylindrical projection on the posterior side of the ulnas head

Radius
Lies lateral to the ulna (thumb side of the forearm)
The head (disc-shaped) and neck are at the
proximal end
The head articulates with the capitulum of the
humerus and the incisura radialis ulna
Radial tuberosity - medial and inferior to neck,
attachment site for biceps brachii muscle
Styloid process - large distal projection on lateral
side of radius
-
In the anatomical
position, the radius is
lateral (thumb side); with
pronation the palm
faces posteriorly and the
bones cross
Left forearm
Prone: body lying face down
Suppine: body lying face up
(you can remember prone if you think about how you would fall forward onto
your face if you passed out)
Anatomical
position prone
pronation moves the forearm into the
prone position and supination moves
it back to the anatomical position

SENDI Hubungan antara dua tulang atau lebih mengacu pada titik
hubungan antara tulang dengan tulang maupun dengan
tulang rawan ada yang longgar (bebas), erat, bahkan
sangat kuat
Klasifikasi Sendi Berdasarkan Adanya Gerak
1. SINARTROSIS
2. AMFIARTROSIS
3. DIARTROSIS
-
KLASIFIKASI SENDI
1. SINARTROSIS (Sendi Mati)
adl persendian yang tidak dapat digerakkan
(immovable joint). Permukaan tulang hampir
kontak langsung, dikaitkan oleh jar ikat fibrosa
/kolagen, biasanya digunakan untuk
melindungi bagian tertentu
Tdr dr : sutura, gomfosis, sinkhondrosis dan
sinostosis.
-
1.a. Sutura
Sutura yaitu persendian antartulang tengkorak. Sutura membentuk persendian persendian melalui hubungan
dua tulang yang ujungnya kasar saling mengunci dan
disatukan oleh jaringan ikat fibrosa
-
1.b. Gomphosis
persambungan antara gigi
dengan soket pada
maksila dan mandibula.
Penghubung fibrosa pada
bagian ini disebut dengan
ligamen periodontal
Greek : dipaku ligamentum
periodontal
-
1.c. Sinkhondrosis bersifat rigid (kaku). Jembatan kartilago
menghubungkan
kedua tulang. Contoh:
a. persendian antara
epifisis dan diafisis
tulang panjang. B.
antara tulang rusuk
(costae) dengan
tulang dada (sternum)
-
1.d. Sinostosis Sangat kaku karena
terbentuk dari
persambungan tulang
tanpa ada jaringan
lain yang
menghubungkannya.
Contoh :
persambungan tulang
dahi (tulang frontal)
yang
menghubungkan dahi
kanan dan kiri.
-
2. AMFIARTROSIS
Pada persendian ini dapat bergerak sedikit. Tulang
dihubungkan kartilago.
Terdiri dari : sindesmosis
dan simfisis
2.a. Sindesmosis
Persambungan antartulang
yang dihubungkan oleh
ligamen. Contohnya adalah
persendian antara tibia dan
fibula
-
2.b. Simfisis
Persendian yang
dihubungkan oleh
fibrokartilago.
Contohnya adalah
persendian antara
tulang pubis dan
antara ruas-ruas
tulang belakang
-
KLASIFIKASI SENDI 3. DIARTROSIS
=persendian sinovial, pergerakan lebih luas --
gerak bebas antartulang.
Dikelilingi kapsul
persendian fibrus dan
membrana sinovial yang
melapisi ruang
persendian.
Ruang persendian terisi
cairan sinovial.
-
Joints (Synovial Joints)
Synovial cavity allows a joint to be freely movable
Ligaments hold bones together in a synovial joint
Articular Capsule A sleeve-like capsule encloses the synovial cavity
The articular capsule is composed of two layers
an outer fibrous capsule
an inner synovial membrane
Synovial Fluid The synovial membrane secretes synovial fluid
Functions to reduce friction by:
lubricating the joint
absorbing shocks
supplying oxygen and nutrients to the cartilage
removing carbon dioxide and metabolic wastes from the cartilage
-
Joints (Synovial Joints) Accessory Ligaments and Articular Discs
Collateral ligaments of the knee joint
Anterior and posterior cruciate ligaments of the knee
joint
Menisci Pads of cartilage lie between the articular surfaces of the bones
Allow bones of different shapes to fit together more tightly
Nerve and Blood Supply
Nerve endings convey information about pain from the
joint to the spinal cord and brain
Nerve endings respond to the degree of movement
and stretch at a joint
Arterial branches from several different arteries merge
around a joint before penetrating the articular capsule

Joints (Synovial Joints)
Bursae and Tendon Sheaths
Bursae
Sac-like structures containing fluid similar to synovial fluid
Located between tendons, ligaments and bones
Cushion the movement of these body parts
Tendon sheaths
Wrap around tendons
Reduce friction at joints
-
DIARTROSIS
-
Sendi Luncur/planar/gliding Permukaan sendi
biasanya datar.
Gerakan kiri kanan dan
muka belakang.
gerak pada dua bidang
datar = sendi dua
sumbu (biaksial). Contohnya persendian antara
tulang-tulang karpal, antara
tulang-tulang tarsal, antara
sternum dan klavikula, dan antara
scapula dan klavikula
-
Sendi Engsel/hinge Permukaan sendi tulang
pertama cekung tepat dapat
masuk pada permukaan
cembung
memungkinkan gerakan hanya
pada satu bidang datar = sendi
satu sumbu (monoaksial).
menghasilkan gerak fleksi/
mengecilkan sudut-ekstensi/
membesarkan sudut. seperti
gerak membuka dan menutup
pintu.
Contoh sendi ini adalah sendi
pada siku dan lutut
-
Sendi Putar/pivot
permukaan tulang pertama yang membulat, meruncing/berbentuk
kerucut bersendi dengan lekuk
yang dangkal dari tulang lain.
memungkinkan gerakan utama
berupa putaran (memutar)
termasuk persendian monoaksial.
Contoh
persendian antara tulang atlas
dengan dasar tulang tengkorak,
menggelengkan kepala,
persendian antara ujung proksimal
tulang radius dan ulna, gerakan
supinasi dan pronasi tapak tangan
-
Sendi Pelana/saddle
Permukaan ujung tulang pertama berbentuk cekung
masuk ke permukaan tulang
kedua yang berbentuk
cembung.
memungkinkan gerakan
menyamping (kanan-kiri)
dan gerak muka belakang =
sendi biaksial.
Contoh; sendi antara tulang
trapesium dan metacarpal
dari ibu jari
-
Sendi Peluru/ball and socket
permukaan sendi tulang pertama berbentuk seperti bola
masuk ke permukaan tulang
kedua berbentuk cekung seperti
mangkuk.
memungkinkan terjadinya
gerakan triaksial; gerakan fleksi
dan ekstensi, abduksi dan
aduksi, serta gerakan rotasi.
Contoh;
persendian antara tulang lengan
atas dengan tulang belikat
persendian antara tulang paha
dengan tulang pinggul
-
ujung tulang yang berbentuk oval
masuk ke cekungan tulang lain
yang berbentuk elips.
memungkinkan gerakan kiri kanan
dan muka belakang = sendi
biaksial.
Contoh ;
persendian antara tulang radius dan
tulang karpal ; gerak tapak kanan
ke atas dan ke bawah dan ke
kanan kiri
sendi antara phalanges dan
metacarpal
Sendi Elipsoidal/condyloid
-

PERSENDIAN AXIAL SKELETON ARTIKULASIO TEMPOROMANDIBULARIS
-
162/9
Akibatnya :
- Terdapat 2 buah persendian sinovial :
= antara os temporalis dengan discus articularis
= antara discus articularis dengan mandibula
Ligamentum penyokong
= Lig. Sphenomandibularis
= Lig. Stylomandibularis
= Lig. Temporomandibularis
Secara struktur persendian :
-Sendi Engsel (Hinge)
Pergerakan yang dilakukan
elavasi dan depresi
mandibula pada waktu
mengunyah
-Sendi Pelana
Pergerakan yang dilakukan
= Protracti ketika menggigit
= Pemindahan kelateral

ARTICULATIO INTERVERTEBRALIS
Terdiri atas :
- Persendian antar corpus vertebra
- Persendian antar processus articularis superior dan inferior vertebra
Persendian antar corpus vertebra
- Seluruh vertebra, mulai dari C2
sacrum dipisahkan oleh fibrocartilago yang disebut
discus intervertebralis yang
terdiri dari :
- Anulus fibrosus
- Nucleus pulposus
-
164/9
Anulus Fibrosus - Merupakan lapisan luar fibrocartilago yang menutupi masing-masing
discus intervertebralis
-
165/9
Ligamentum Fungsi untuk menstabilkan
Columna vertebralis dengan
Menyokong Vertebra melalui
perlekatan pada corpus dan
processus. Terdiri atas :
1. lig. Longitudinalis anterior
2. Lig. Longitudinalis posterior
3. Lig. Interspinosus
4. lig. Supra spinosus
:Menghubungkan puncak proc.
spinosus C7 sampai sacrum
5. Lig. Nuchae :Menghubungkan
puncak proc. Spinosus C7 dan
basis cranii
6. Lig. Flavum : Menghubungkan
lamina vertebra
-
Anterior longitudinal ligament: wide, strong and attaches to vertebrae as well as
discs (prevents hyperextension)
Posterior longitudinal ligament: narrow and relatively weak, attaching only to discs
*
-
167/9
Persendian antar proc. Articularis superior
dan inferior vertebra
- Facies articularis proc. Articularis superior dan
inferior membentuk sendi plana, sehingga
memungkinkan pergerakan yang meluncur
Pergerakan columna vertebralis
- Pergerakan satu persatu vertebra sangat
terbatas
- Columna vertebralis bisa melakukan pergerakan
: flexi, extensi, lateral flexi, rotasi
