Abstract
B/ostratgraphic analysis of nannoplankton has been conducted on 26 spot sampling samples from the Rajamandala area, Padalarang, Bandung District, West Java Province. Based on field data, the study reveals that there are 6 rock units as follows: (1) conglomeratic sandstone unit of not younger than Late Eocene and it is comparable to Bayah Formation of Middle - Late Eocene, (2) claystone unit of Late Eocene - Oligocene which is comparabe to the Batuasih Formation of Late Oligocene, (3) marl unit of Late Oligocene-Middle Miocene which is comparable to the Marl Member of Rajamandala Formation of Late Oligocene - Early Miocene, (4) sandstone - claystone unit of Early Miocene Middle Miocene and is comparable to the Citarum Formation of Early Miocene, (5) volcanic breccia of Middle Miocene and is comparable to the Saguling Formation of Middle Miocene, and (6) tuffaceous volcanic rock overlying the Saguling Formation, and is comparable to Quaternary tuffaceous volcanic products.
